Ok, real talk. Coupla games ago Fox had 5 fouls...for a quarter and a half! Few games later Sabonis gets his 6th foul and essentially LA takes that one. So why if Jalen Green, the only dude who been killing the entire game, gets hia 5th foul and NOONE goes at him or runs anything for whoever he's guarding? That's not indicative of the collective IQ on this team. Stu mentioned several times that they should put him in some pick and roll situations but nothing happened to him. In fact several possessions he got just rest as his man just stood by the 3pt line. If he ain't on the court he cant help close you out. Otherwise good comeback, something to build on...unless this bleeds into the Dallas game.

This is not being spoken about enough. Even under Darvin Ham this team had the same issue. 100% correct, if a starting player is in foul trouble you attack and utilize the ability of that player playing passive to avoid being fouled out. KCP, Kuzma, Dwight, McGee, Alex, Bradley….An anomaly and only team in the past 6+ years or more where the starting 5 (or top 5 scorers) did not average more than 90 pts per game. Boston locked down last year and still averaged close to 100 pts from their top 5 scorers. Numbers don’t just add up with DFS in the starting lineup. Keep Rui (and his consistent 12 pts), add a center like Vucevic (17 pts career avg), that will get you close to an avg 100 pts with AD, Bron, and AR. Bring DFS, Max, Shake and another big off the bench with Dalton as insurance and then we can start talking about a championship! How you like dem apples? 🤣
@mattwhitely1067Күн бұрын
@DaxPlayer828 there is no way that Rui who is not a good defender should be starting because hey he get 2 to 4 more pts.. Its just absolutely insane that you think this.. Boston's starting 5 is one of the best ever in terms all round players.. 3 of the them were on the Olympic team and one of them that wasn't was finals mvp.. They have a deep team but if your playing them you want dfs out there playing defence not Rui.. what your saying is absolutely insane.. The Lakers need a physical back up centre to eat a few minutes for AD and then they need a perimeter defender as well who can hit 3s so they can move Max to the bench as well as he is playing pretty good but at this point he should be the back up not the starter if they want to contend.. Rui can come off the bench and score if he isn't traded.. I think Rui is ok as a bench player he just isn't good enough as a starter.. Haven't seen any teams clamouring to get Rui off the lakers..

@fattony92272 күн бұрын
That's because JJ Redick is not a real NBA coach. Talking X's & O's on a Mickey Mouse podcast is one thing but actually coaching an NBA team is totally different matter. Talk is cheap.

They should trade connect, Vincent Hayes, JHS and pics for Sexton and Kessler, they could load up their bench. They already have a good starting lineup
@akashnigam37482 күн бұрын
Jazz are not trading Kessler until anyone overpays them significantly, so we should stop waiting and trying for Kessler as it will paralyse us to make any move that we can make. I think one of the best target out there is D'sharpe, elite rebounder and good defender, the nets are in sell mode and we just made a trade with them so talking to them shouldn't be tough
@Gatorsssssss1Күн бұрын
@ they have never talked about including connect so the same pics and all these other scenarios plus him that’s over the top I would say

Masterlocking Trevor for spoiling the game result… I typically watch an hour behind to skip the TOs etc yet get caught of by this title in toilet scrolling for a quick video! Damn.

Lakers literally need Christian Wood more than anything. Hes the critical piece that Rob is waiting on before making a move. Hes banking everything on whether Wood will be available or not.

YAll sound ignorant if u believe lakers are dictating timing of trades. No way to push for kessler now and u look Every team selling is waiting for the best offer and lakers aren't dealing any first rounders before they see kessler moved first. They just look stupid if they went and got Valenciunus and then Kessler goes for 1st and swaps. Then all u talking heads are saying why they trade so early and could beat that offer.

F the pics ... Trade Kessler/Collins Or Sexton instead of Colliins ... Kessler In today's Jazz game 17 rebounds, 10 points 1 blk ... Just Do It already.

“Bronny James DNP - COACH’s DECISION” LMAOOO LEBRON -13 on the +/- and Austin was +13 lmao and y’all wanna get rid of him… sad
@eccentricaste3232Күн бұрын
Austin wasn't on Hayes and Melton's line up. Ad wasn't. Those lime ups gave lebron the minus. This is why lakers nation need someone who actually understands the game on their panel to explain all these things. Some fans lack basic critical analysis skill.

@ Nah doesnt Lebron make his teammates better? Isnt he the GOAT? Why is it always someone elses fault? Bump all that I’m not even a fan of the plus minus I believe its BS anyway the true test is watching the game

Jordan on the Wizards at 40 had less talent than this Lakers roster. Lakers have AD. MJ did not have Tim Duncan on his team. Clippers have the same record as the Lakers with Kawhi Leonard playing 19 minutes all season! JJ is the problem.

Trev, you are the one that always puts another wing or guard over a big. And even when you talk about a big you focus on 3s and rim protection D. You NEVER talk about the main reason we need a big- REBOUNDING. But over and over and over again we lose games due to 2nd chance points, and over and over and over again you talk about it postgame as if it was just a one-off situation
@12gark2 күн бұрын
Rebounding is not just a big guy down low. How many missed three were lose ball and they got there first? Ausar Thompson is a 6'8 wing, less than 200 pounds but got 16 boards just by getting to the loose ball quicker, and having a second and third jump to get to the ball if someone taps it. I understand your point, but rebounding isn't a one man job, it's a whole team effort. It's also schematics: too many guys leaking early to get in transition before gabbing the fucking rebound. Honestly, I would love a better center than Hayes. But we can have Wilt and Rodman at the same time on the floor and still lose the rebounding battle if half the team isn't boxing out and isn't fighting over long rebounds
@LN-Lifer2 күн бұрын
@12gark You are 100% correct I thought about all that but did not want to type it all. Box outs and simple rebounding fundamentals would be a huge step in the right direction I think I just focus on the center position mostly for 2 reasons 1. When all else is lacking size makes such a difference 2. We give up so many O Rebs when AD is not on the floor But basically my point is this- I think it is our biggest weakness and it is not even close It literally the number one indicator if we win or lose I really do not give a damn how we fix it- I just know that in all the time it has been the biggest issue we have not had a beast at the 5
@12gark2 күн бұрын
@@LN-Lifer I understand the point, but imho if we had more athleticism on the perimeter, we would not need another center. In 2020 we had a bunch of "Markieff Morris at the 5" minutes, and we were still grabbing every fucking board available. Why? We had 6'9 Kuzma playing SF, 6'6 KCP and 6'5 Caruso playing guard, all excellent athletes running and jumping over people. Everyone was boxing out and everyone had energy to spend because they all were A+ athletes. Tonight everyone was focused on Steven Adams getting 9 boards, but the Amen Thompson got 16 just out hustling people. He isn't taller than Hayes, or DFS, or Rui. He's just faster and more willing to put the work in. If we could get ONE guy with that kind of athleticism, energy, motor and quickness, the center issue would be much smaller. And we would have a guy that is more useful on offense, and still perfectly playable when we face small ball teams. If Vando was healthy, we would not have this issue, but the reality is that he isn't and God knows if he ever will. So sure, I'd love Kessler, or Nick Richards, or another guy like that instead of Hayes. But imho it's not the only way to fix the issue, and it's probably not the best way in a league where a bunch of teams are still playing small ball.

@@12gark I get that The problem is I was talking about the same thing before LAST season began and Trev and all my fellow fans were downplaying my concerns saying we got "bigger and more athletic" then So I say F that Go after guys who fit the system but are SPECIFICALLY known for what we lack

AD put up 30/13 with 5 blocks (Sengun had 14/6 with ZERO blocks) on 50% from 3, 55% overall and was a perfect 8/8 from the FT line and moronic casuals are dissing him? LMFAO! These fools need to be permanently banned from Lakers Nation 🤡
