@6jas61 I agree, but the Lakers need is young future stars, the youngest starter is Bynum while Kobe, Artest and Fisher are in their 30's. But Artest for sure was the game 7 MVP.

@daluckyprincess I understand the cap and i saw that today as well, but lets be clear we could get him at a bargain deal and also u have to remember this guy has not been paid , over the last 2 years this guy has got 800k?. He wants to stay but he is just saying he needs a little bit and we have room, for 4.6 of 3 more or less 1 mill on the book for a play of great caliber. We would make a big mistake to let him go looking at the fisher situation

@biggiejackson They can do that, but they also have a salary cap to think about. This came from the Lakers website: "The National Basketball Association today announced that the Salary Cap for the 2010-11 season will be $58.044 million. The tax level for the 2010-11 season has been set at $70.307 million. Any team whose team salary exceeds that figure will pay a $1 tax for each $1 by which it exceeds $70.307 million."

@prodiggy13 you definetly dont need young talent because that brings inexperience. veteran leadership is and always will win game and championships. say what you want but derek fisher is a damn good point guard in the league, very clutch and never affraid of the moment. most players what to win a ring but most dont have what it takes. keep the team intact let farmar go, pick raja bell and everyobne remain healthy and get stronger and better and get this repeat POPPIN
