The only reason we didn't see more of it from Quincy is because they've been trying to force minutes onto Bronny that he obviously and clearly isn't ready for. According to Redick, Quincy has been in camp with them for the past 3+ months and was finishing 1st in all the shooting and scoring drills. Yet despite that he was being sat on the bench while they tried to give minutes to Bronny he hadn't earned and didn't outplay anyone for. The moment they sat Bronny down and Quincy was put in the Lakers go on a 20-0 run. Quincy was a near 20 point scorer in Xavier and shot 40+% from three on over 7 attempts a game and he was known to be a defender that played the passing lanes very well and averaged 1.4 steals a game. The fact that he's been buried on the bench for the first two games is because minutes that should have been going to a player like him were being gifted to Bronny. I'm glad he got a chance to finally show what he can do!

The lakers dont need a scorer. But what about a scorer who comes off the bech while the starters are tired. Relentless pace who can shoot light out. Lakers already have Austin and dlo and bron for creating opportunities. Imagine a guy coming off the bench running full speed for 10 minutes and you have to guard him or he is going to pull a 3 in your face.

Quincy has 3 more preseason games to prove himself. If he continues to play like last game, I don't care how but he must stay! Our 3rd PG position was extremely weak last season when it comes to garbage time, the 3rd units got blown out by every single opponent and Quincy has just made the last game the only exception for the past whole year or so. Last season we could never get a blowout win but took a lot of blowout losses, that's all because JHS wasn't a legitimate PG and our 3rd unit has no ability to score in an NBA level game.
@doobiehayes17802 ай бұрын
I would not say JHS isn't a legitimate PG...geez the guy only played 1yr and not that much...be careful with the absolutes...that offense looked clunky even with the starters in there sometimes...
@smbk862 ай бұрын
@@doobiehayes1780 he's get significantly better, worth a mid 2nd round pick now. He wasn't a legitimate PG last season and wasn't even playable at NBA level. Now I think he's fine as someone to dribble the ball cross court and initiate some offence. However his scoring ability is still below level, and can't carry the 3rd unit team. 3rd unit needs someone who can be a scoring machine and shoot the hell out of the ball.

The Clipper and Suns are Salivating and waiting on the Lakers to miss out on Quincy. He's a potential 2 way Guard Superstar he's a Lillard build who can score on all 3 levels. He needs a team to give him time to play n learn the different defensive and rebound speeds of the game its easy to say Traore needs to be cut n play Castle as a 2 way big like AD. Lakers need to do the right thing how many guard are they going to throw away Pippen Jr, THT, Lonzo Ball, Swider, Lonnie Walker, just to hold on to JHS lol Quincy even out scored Gabe with less minutes.
