Sam, this is truly I the Monet fashion. I’m struggling to get there in oil . So difficult to loosen up when I’ve painted detailed in watercolor for thirty years, but I’m not giving up. Thank you.

i have the opposite problem.. im an oil painter and trying so hard to learn the art of keeping my watercolor flowing.. i tend to poke around with it and then it dries and turns into a mess

thank you Lori. yes and I struggled quite a bit at first. it’s pretty hard to relax and have messy brush strokes. You have to forget about color blending. the most important thing is to put the right paint in the right place and do it a bit sloppily.
