Before beads my ancestors used dyed quills, it's an art that has been passed down so that it may always live. I am happy to see that our work is gaining in value, something for my future grand children to look foreword too.

Not many people collect doctors bags. And it's only 127 years old. For $7000 you can buy 400 year old paintings.

I like watching these "update" segments to see how much items have increased/decreased in value from their original show appearances. Still wish Mark Wahlberg was hosting, though. The girl/woman doing the voiceovers now in new episodes has an annoyingly grating delivery.

It's supposed to go to the American Horse Museum, we were told we would get our Regalia back. A lot of this stuff was taken when they cut our hair and took our feathers away, forced us to speak English. White people have false stories about how they got these things... The Elders say they striped us of them and handed them out as gifts. Even Native babies were given and bought like a novelty, look up 'Guide to taking care of your NEW Indian baby!' Still we won. We still speak our tongue, create our Regalia, and dance with our hair long. We the Lakota will always be.

I know that in the Mvskogee Nation, the elders are trying to keep the language alive. I’m reading a fictional story now where, in the backdrop, is the Cheyenne at Indian boarding school.

Never believe anyone who says, “I’m Native American.” That’s not the language we use. We say, “I’m Oglala” or “I’m Oneida” or “I’m Tulalip” or “I’m Diné (not Navajo),” etc. We predate America by literally thousands of years, and any genuine Native raised by elders would never say, “I’m Native American.” That’s settler language.
