By the way if you spend money you can have a wonderful experience in India. Many foreigner vloggers try to travel to India in a frugal manner, they spend 5$ a night on accommodation so they get Paharganj and outside their hotel there are touts, pimps and pushy drug peddlers. They also eat the cheapest food and take the cheapest transport. They enjoy seeing India like that but many rich foreigners are turned off by India due to the way in which they portray India. However some new vloggers have shown India for middle class travelers and their vlogs put India in good light. By the way your narration is awesome and I love your hat. You look like a 1950s Partisan girl along the Dalmatian coast in the Yugoslavian Partisan Films of yester years.

India has a massive income & infrastructure inequality. We have the most expensive & cheapest home here, so before settling somewhere in India you should do some research first. Which kind of city do you want to live in? even within cities, there is a drastic change. India is a whole continent itself. South India is much cleaner & relatively safer but warmer. If you somehow make a local trustful friend then North India is amazing too. Food is amazing everywhere. living cost in North India is drastically low compared to EU standard. if you want a peaceful place then look for a hilly region too. If you can find an Indian girl to marry then you can get an OCI card then you will not be needing Visa 😂 All the best buddy 🥳

Thank you everyone for all the advice! I've been doing a lot of research on the different cities in India and have initially thought of Pune as it ticks a lot of boxes (Weather, greenery, location, demographics etc) though Bangalore is also very interesting. The only thing that swayed my thoughts is that Pune is big but Bangalore is enormous! It might be too busy/noisy for me. I'd like to visit before settling too, but I don't have much free time to be a tourist this coming year. In any case, I can move cities at a later point once I arrive as I will be travelling relatively light. In terms of the visa, the best thing I have found is that legal companies will offer resident director services for a monthly fee. Therefore I can start an LLC from abroad and retain operational control of the business, arriving on an employment visa. Apparently that's a relatively common thing to do. Later on I could hire a local person/friend to replace them as director. If anyone has experience of Pune vs Bangalore then I'd love to hear about anything else you've noticed :)

Now a days, many Indians think foreign countries like Maldives is a heaven and there’s no place in this world like Maldives, but trust me guys I have been to Maldives 3 months back and the feeling I got was literally worst, I sincerely felt Andaman and Lakshadweep are much more superior destinations than the Maldives and moreover by spending that hefty amount for Maldives is worthless. I regret myself for my decision.
