Awesome speech by an awesome lady. Respect is for both party. It is everywhere that men come fully dressed and women are showcased with the minimum, as if the tailor has cheated the ladies. iS THIS A TAMIL SHOW OR ENGLISH SHOW. If the anchor lady or man can't speak tamil, CHANGE. There are lot of them who can speak good and clear tamil. Use them. Another thing I would like to point out here is why are the India Indians speak more of English and less tamil. Hold on to your language. You don't see any other show or commercial in Malayalam, Telugu,or any other languages speak in English, only their own . When it come to tamil OMG......... THIS HAS TO STOP TOO

Ms Lakshmi Ramakrishnan has expressed her views very clearly which is against objectification of women and that the disrespect starts from home. Moreover the fact that she works towards the voiceless women and children via Sollvathellam Unmai is appreciable. Whatever background she is from and whatever language she speaks is not important and insignificant here. What is being done by her for the community is important and must be applauded by any honest and sound person. What many are not able to achieve is being achieved by her in full. Laxmi made the right remark about the Sharukhan clown. These are the junk guys from north putting females pride down and they see the females as objects of something! I appreciate Laxmi's remarkable remarks and her true emotion towards the respect of women that is lacking in this country. People are not punished for their crime against women, the lawyers and judges are at fault too. India is becoming a Gunda Raj.

Lakshmi Ramakrishnan talking about respect for women?? Where did respect for women by women go madam when you were dealing with Raji's family in Solvathellam Unmai? In Solvathellam Unmai March 05 2013 Lakshmi Ramakrishnan ignored the distress of Raji who had undergone 22 years of domestic violence and separated from her husband for the only reason that Raji had found a new companion who was 17 years younger to Raji. Lakshmi used harsh words at Raji and painted her in bad light. Lakshmi does not deserve a public life anymore.

Its b'coz of cheap films,rape scenes in films and vulgar ads in which some women r scantily clad and act for some money that women r degraded.and they think all women r the same but its not so.
