Hiro smelt his pheromones and he leaves to go cool himself off in the shower. luckily, he can control himself but that’s why the Michis dad was acting like that

I like how Yuki & Matsu's relationship is moving at their own pace. They aren't rushing and not moving slowly. They are going at their own speed as they get to know each other. Also, I think Michi's Dad is used to it just being him, and Michi I mean it's like he goes to work and takes care of his son. So seeing Masaki with his husband, kids, and friends is new to him. He had probably never seen anything like it before. So, it's going to take him some time to accept that not all omegas are the same.

I really am sad how many people are reacting negatively on Twitter to Aoto’s concerns. He trusted Masaki and left his kid on his care under the presumption that he was married to another Omega. I see many people failing to pin the story into this specific verse, where marriage occurs mostly within its own type. The author made it very clear how WEIRD their relationship is to other people in two scenes along the episode. First, by having Aoto meet Hiromu on the street, hear his name and not even considering possible that he’s Masaki’s partner. Basically because he’s an alpha. And by having Yuki say that he rarerly thinks about it or consider it, because of how close he’s to Masaki and Hiromu, but their relationship is not the norm at all. So, Aoto is worried that Michiru or even himself could be attacked because they are not mated, and their pheromones could attract alphas. It makes absolutely sense for him to be so alerted. I’m so happy that you sympathized with him! Aoto’s my favourites character and I’m suffering with all the hate on him! 😭 Could Aoto have been nicer to Masaki? Yes. But there we have another layer of the story! We have so far seen Masaki dealing with prejudice against him and his life with Hiromu. We have seen his struggles to adapt. But now, we are shown a case in which Masaki failed to acknowledge the type issue because he’s already used to live around alphas (that wouldn’t hurt him because he’s already mated). He’s so used to his family by now, after five years, that he forgot that other omegas might be in danger by not having a pair. In parallel with reality, Masaki had a reality check on his privilege (recent, but privileged anyway) I love this story so much!

i agree, i see so much hate towards him but in omegaverse, having an unmated omega about to go into heat unknowingly come into a space where alphas are is scary. especially the whole consent issue/prey and predator dynamic that happens, it’s understandable why he reacted like that. i’ve been defending him against others in a lot of comments 😭

In this universe, is more common to have alpha x alpha or omega x omega pairing. On the other hand, alpha x omega pairing is considered as taboo. So, Michi’s dad assumed that misaki’s family is similar with him

​I am not sure if I am right but I think omegas release some kind of smell/hormones called pheromones which attract the alphas for mating. The pheromones increase during or around heat. Michi's dad was around heat so he released pheromones which affected Hiromu. Masaki couldn't sense it because he is marked by hiromu (mark on his neck) ​@@ashithaaugustine9108

17:20 As for the bite mark, it depends on what the writer wants for their story. Some make it so the Alpha can still feel other Omega's pheromones and can mate multiple if they want. While the Omega can't be mated again, in some cases, only can mate again if the Alpha dies. Others make it, so that the bite makes the Alpha only react to the Omega they marked and can't have another partner.

Just to let you know, Omegaverse does not have a set rule. In the case of Tadaima Okaeri, same type marriages are more common, hence why Mochizuki initially believed Masaki was also in an omega/omega marriage like he was until he saw the mark. In some stories, once an omega and an alpha are bonded, the alpha only smells the pheromones of his mate, but in the case of Tadaima Okaeri, alphas can still smell other omegas' pheromones. That is why Mochizuki became wary because if Hiromu is able to smell the pheromones, then it could've awakened his alpha instincts to want to mate an unmated omega and protect them. Things could've gotten messy if Hiromu didn't have a strong will.

Even though Mochizuki acting like the alphas in Masaki's life are dangerous, he's right in calling Masaki blessed. Hiromu and Matsuo are good to him, but not all alphas are like that. And with Mochizuki already saying in a previous episode that he's not a polite and reserved person, it's easy to see how alphas unlike Hiromu and Matsuo would act towards him.

Omegaverse at first was pretty similar in multiple stories, but quickly other versions started appearing. So, a lot of stories tend to use ABO differently. I get that it can be confusing, is good when they give a summary of it. 😂

omgvers actually has many versions, lately many are using the alpha x omega pair, whereas when the Taidama Okaeri novel was released that year, the alpha x omega pair was considered taboo because alpha's power was oppressive and harsh, while omega was often used as a kind of harassment material, because of low status. That's why Michi's father said that Alpha was their natural enemy, as well as Hikari's grandfather who initially opposed Hiro and Masaki's relationship. at the time this novel was written, the current version of omgvers only paired those of the same type or only with beta (AA, AB, BB, BO, OO, and taboo for AO). the only ones who can make markings are A to O (I don't know whether AA can mark each other or not) that's why Michi's father was surprised when he saw Masaki's neck. Hiro and Michi's father never met because of schedule compatibility, and Michi's father thought Hikari's family was the same as his family, namely OO. He chose to stay away because of his assumption that Hikari was the alpha while he should be the only one who had to look after Michi who was OMG. ps: the Taidama Okaeri novel was released a long time ago, and the anime is only being made now, so the Omgvers version at that time was different from the latest version of similar novels

17:28 Yeah the more popular versions of omegaverse where omega's can't be claimed with other alphas when they're already bonded but some alphas get to claim another omega. But one few mangas/manhwa I think dabbled with an omega that can have another alpha and bonding can be overwritten something like that.

To help clarify: Tadaima, Okaeri is an omegaverse classic. However, it’s omegaverse rules and norms have key differences from many other omegaverse stories seen since the time Tadaima, Okaeri first started publishing. First, as we know, is marrying within your own type. Alpha x alpha. Beta x Beta. Omega x Omega. The reasons for this appear to be due to the very pheromone dynamic of alphas and omegas that omegaverse readers are familiar with. Second, something not as common in omegaverse stories, is pregnancy outside of beta pairs and alpha x omega pairs. Part of this is because omegaverse stories often feature male x male or female x female couples. But it is logical for male x female couples of the same type to be able to get pregnant (male omega x female omega for example, even though I’ve almost never seen a female omega). This can explain why Michi’s dad always sees himself as a dad even as an omega because his wife may have been (with a high possibility) a FEMALE omega, following the classic male x female marriage partner, like Hiromu’s alpha parents. Also almost never seen are cases of a male/female beta impregnating or being impregnated by an alpha or omega of the opposite gender. But it can and does happen in Tadaima, Okaeri. Granted there is still the “outside your type” discrimination. Only in the case of a beta with an alpha or omega comes the “risk” of the alpha or omega betraying their beta voluntarily or involuntarily with another alpha or omega due to the pheromone factor. These things mean that Yuki (beta) and Matsu’s (alpha) relationship also falls under the unusual/taboo relationship because they are different types, and that the different type involved includes the “superior” alpha. And, to repeat, an alpha CAN get a beta pregnant. BUT that is probably only in the case if the alpha is a male and the beta is a female. That is NOT the case with Matsu and Yuki. And I point this out since Matsu takes the lead in their relationship so far. The manga has not addressed who can get who pregnant in Matsu and Yuki’s relationship. But is could be possible for them to have children together if Yuki is the one impregnating Matsu. And that would be a REALLY interesting dynamic to their relationship.

Considering how alphas are on top of the societal hierarchy, an unmated/unbonded omega is basically a bunny in front of a wolf. Omegaverse is just a reflection, an exaggerated one at that, with the patriarchal society where women are objectified and in this world, omegas are objectified.

In that universe, Omega x Omega, Alpha x Alpha are the common pairs and mates, and Alpha x Omega are seen as a taboo. The reaction was because of the pheromone michru's father released because he's an omega. Alphas are meant to be attracted to Pheromones of omegas (even if they're already mated), for the third question, it's the same as the second answer. Alphas are meant to smell and be attracted to the scent of omegas, which makes his body react. But Hiro only wants Masaki's pheromones (scent).

Just to add on to the explanation already given: No. 1) In most other omegaverse stories, alpha x omega are considered the most suitable and desirable pairship. But not in this universe. In this story, each type normally marries within the same type. In this story, the power imbalance between alpha and omega are more severe; omegas are considered low class. So omegas n alphas normally do not mix around or socialise much. Betas like Yuki don't matter since they do not have these heat/pheromone issues. No. 2 and 3). Hiromu reacted to Michiru's dad's pheromones because the latter was in heat. In normal situation, there's no reaction. Which is why omegas in heat need to stay away from alphas. Reacted meaning aroused (therefore, cold shower is needed to cool off). Yuki is ok because he is beta, while Hikari is still a child Remember in one episode Masaki was in heat so he had to be isolated until he got better..

When you commented throughout the vid, like when you ask "why", I already save the answer in my mind.
