Sarah's name was the closest new female comedian that came to mind when I thought of Janeane's humor...Dane Cook is doing his thing too but he go jump in a volcano. That's cool that you respect their work ethic, but I respect Janeane's natural talent. Comedians these days just overdo every thing. Kind of like Family Guy compared to the Simpsons. Family Guy can be funny, but then the joke goes on for too long and the whole thing becomes predictable.

@Marceles45 Thanks for replying...11 months later (I didn't notice when you made that comment). I used to like Garofalo hands-down as the best American female comic. I think Silverman has become a bit more consistently funny. My personal taste, never mind it! I wouldn't compare them. I like Tracey Ullman better than the whole lot.

Sometimes her hilarity falls on death ears due to the fact that she delivers it with intellect. It works sometimes but other times not so much. She does the same type of comedy and delivery as Dennis Miller although Dennis makes it work with greater success.

She's pretty good in movies and good in TV roles. She's pretty good on politics. I'm almost certain she's a good person. (And I've always enjoyed her good looks, though not in this clip.) I like her and always have. But..... She's no funnier than some random unknown person trying to be funny. (My girlfriend's, who's not a comic, is very funny, five times funnier.) Kind of a drag, that. So much for women having to be twice as good as men in order to make it in their careers.
