Terre d'Hermes or Grey Vetiver are my favorites. I just got my Encre Noir a l'Extreme in and I love it, very cypress-y. Arguably the best value vs. price I've ever seen in a fragrance, paid 20€ for 100ML, performance is good, presentation is awesome imo

This one (al extreme) was my VERY FIRST blind buy EVER, i bought it based only on notes that are in it. And it was a TOTAL HIT - bullseye! I guess it was beginner's luck, because since then i did many blind-buys, but none od them so IDEAL as the first one, with Lalique en al extreme! Great fragrance, best value for it's price! Cheers!

A l extreme would be for fall and winter and sport more for spring and summer?

But when i tried it in summer (not at highest temperatures but f.i. at summr evening), it was also amazing, so i would say that al' extreme is for year round, except for hotest days, but then sport gets it's turn and it works great (although name "sport" is used because other fragrances use name "sport" when they are more "summery" or "casual' or "fresh", so in case of sport version i really don't get the name..); i hope it helped, cheers!

I have the EDT of Encre Noire, I love it but it doesn’t really have any longevity on me. Have ordered the EDP of Extreme hopefully it will perform better on me.

The extreme version is a perfume that saddens me. This is my most favorite perfume of all time but its just too weak.. Barely any projection and the longevity is average aswell. Im still looking for something similar that performs even if i have to pay lots of €s for it.

Great review. I find that if I put good body lotion on before applying any scent ; the scents last an hour or two longer. Lovely scent very understated.

Good review, Carlos. I personally haven't smelled any Lalique bottles but I'll consider it. Vetiver is really not my cup of tea either but I do love Grey Vetiver by Tom Ford. It's such a wonderful fragrance. Good job! Keep pumping those videos out. I'm catching up as fast as I can.

Carlos thanks for this review. Vetiver is a note that I also had to get used to. Interestingly I don't like the vetiver notes in Guerlain fragrances and it took me sometimes to feel comfortable with the original Encre Noir, but I do like this one.

I absolutely love this one! I love the original, and it is the one that started my passion for fragrances along with Guerlain LIDGE, but À l'Extrême is even better than the original. It adds a lightly smoky, very resinous, incense-y, balsamic and oud-ish side which to me gives it a big "classier" vibe. A bit like adding some C.D.Garçons Wonderoud/wood to Encre Noire. It is niche both in its polarizing, not mainstream, commun smell and the quality of its ingredients. And for the price you can find it online, it's ridiculous. Glad it's got some attention here.

I'm a big vétiver fan and I practically finished my Encre Noire bottle. I also love Heeley "Vetiver Veritas" which is a very natural vétiver scent, similar to encre noire but less sweet. Sycomore by Chanel is the most refined of all. For the summer , I wear Vetiver Babylone from Armani , a very beautiful citrus Vetiver scent , better than Terre by Hermes in my opinion.
