Lalita Lavanga ( Odissi)

Lalita Lavanga is the 3rd song of the Astapadhi from Jayadeva's Gita Govindam. Lalita, Radha's sakhi describes the state of being of Radha being in love and separated from Krishna, tying in images of Nature during springtime and how difficullt it is for Radha feeling alone.
This choreography was originally set by Guru Gajendra Kumar Panda for Guru Ramli Ibrahim in the 80's. Taught to Geetha in 1986, and thus after 34 years this dance is another favourite study for abhinaya, especially beginners.
