In the covid times, when Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan re telecasted on TV screens, every episode of it led to me crying, the pureness, honesty and character development shown by those episodes was an absolute bliss.... Don't want to ruin that experience ever by watching any movie catered by Bollywood on the behalf of Ramayan, for their cheap profits I can't tamper with my beautiful memories of Ramayan, that was the only Ramayan for me and yes the legend of Prince Ram as well, truly blissful... those days

@@samarahmad8055 Nowadays everyone is concerned only about box office numbers and records. When it comes to making adaptation of epics like Ramayan, first concern should be the content. These cannot be made like random movies for box office records. Pathaan is not a masterpiece. It earned huge bcoz of the charisma of SRK and the love people have for him. But as a SRK fan, I didn't watch Pathaan in theatres, but have watched his movies like Swades, Chak De, My Name Is Khan, Fan, Dear Zindagi etc in theatres, some of which were not housefull, but I like content where we can see the actor SRK and not star SRK, but unfortunately some his greatest performances never broke box office records. So I don't care about which film breaks what records financially.

I agree w/ most of the comments except the one about Ravan eating meat. Vegetarianism is a Kalyug belief introduced by the Shankaracharyas: there wasn't an absence of it in the first 3 yugas. Even assuming that it was, vegetarianism, even now, is mostly a Vaishnav practice: Shaktas, & even Shaivyas, do not & did not practice it. Ravan may have been a Brahmin, but he was also a Shaivya, so him eating meat, while not normally shown in conventional serials like the Sagars, nonetheless is not totally alien to him

Ramanand Sagar's Ramayan is the only Original Ramayan in the history of Television. Arun Govil and the old characters were the only Original characters, no other Ramayan Serial or Movie can match Ramanand Sagar's serial. People from various religions used to egarly wait for Sunday to see Ramanand Sagar's serial and i being a Christian when I was a kid our family after Morning Church used to rush to our house to see the Ramayan and Sri Krishna of Ramanand Sagar.
