This was written by Milarepa, whose teacher was the famous Marpa. Milarepa committed violent sins before converting to Buddhism and cleansing his karma under the tutelage of Marpa the Translator. Milarepa is famous for his extreme exertions in devotion to liberation and his great compassion. He is said to have achieved liberation in one lifetime and is a beloved hero of the Tibetan people. This is his song of the awakening of the enlightened mind, wishing to help others always for the benefit of all.

I was sent this 3 years ago by a "lonely + dieing old" enlightened friend. who was the forced to life in hiding by circumstances. long story really short. he came back from the dead and I freed myself the first and last time time this lifetime! I bow to all learning auspiciousness 🐅
