I've been a Raven since they came here & I can say we only had 1 Raven team from the beginning of the year. til they fell short that year that (steve McNair 2006 if I'm not mistaken ) that was predicted to win it all. With Ray lewis & all the great players that came with & after him all we ever had was a scary defense or 3 that was notorious for blowing leads even though we won it 2 X. Could have won more with the average offenses that we had. So everybody can have there opinion of what Lamar means to this city but I can tell you this, there is NO PLAYER in the history of the Ravens that has made us more relevant year in year out, since he step on that field & took us out the basement went 6-1 as a rookie losing his 1st playoff game to a team he played back to back weeks. You can’t replace Ray. Without Ray & that defense & offense in 01 & 13 there’s no championship in Baltimore. Give Lamar his flowers yes but still pay tribute to Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Haloti Nagta, & the other players on those great teams
