"İmam bayıldı" =aubergine should be slowly cooked in olive oil(more than usual and not in the pan, just deeper casererol k.) then cut in the middle, than add a lot of onion and red pepper and tomatoes around, salt and black pepper ! So at the end is all soft and juicey, best served cold with flat bread!!! 🤗 Jeanell mixed recipe called "babagannuş" =grilled aubergine, peppers, tomato (some add grilled onions too), than pilled and chopped, add salt and black pepper than over goes yogurth with finely smashed garlic (mortal pestle)!! Serve also like appetiser with bread(meze) 🤗💞

I wish she would show him a bit more respect regarding his heritage, culture and family recipes. The way she just poured sugar in his father's recipe sauce was quite offensive.
