Oh, honey. People don't steal because they're poor. Thievery is a profession. She planned to take advantage of the chaos and she's going to resell it.
@mylifewithmarmalade46245 ай бұрын
Exactly. Not uncommon to see wedding dresses at thrift or consignment stores. It might take a few months of searching and you might not be spoiled for choice, but it is an option. Or a lot of bridal salons do rentals. Which are often as little as $200-$300 for 48hrs with some basic reversible alterations like hemming included. Failing that, while it may not be your dream, you can get married in just whatever you happen to have, it doesn’t have to be a “wedding dress.” My friend about a decade ago ended up eloping to a Caribbean resort and getting married on the beach in a gauzy white sundress she’d bought at a big box store after getting frustrated with the cost and drama of wedding planning. Her hubby wore a pair of chinos and a madras shirt. Lots of options if you’re on a super tight budget. There’s no reason you need to be embarrassing yourself trying to steal a dress.

We have a store within our store that is separate that sells sewing machines that are worth thousands of dollars, and they will prosecute. One night, 15 minutes before close (so there wasn't any customers left) a guy tried stealing these huge accessory boxes. One didn't even fit in the shopping cart, and he tried two. I told him they were closed, he said he would put the one back, later I saw him with two. He didn't make it out the door when he saw my manager bring carts inside. People suck

The original maid of honour was all in for the hens night though (for which she never paid for!! - so much for being the bride's 'best friend"!!) 😢 Not even the bride's own mother made it to the appointment... My mum (her aunty now) came for the first appointment of the day (we went to 3 different places in one day!!) and managed to see my cousin try on the gown she picked. While the first entourage was HUGE, they were all so supportive! Some of the larger groups are just awful. These people made me want to be friends with all of them! And that second dress was absolutely stunning! As a member of the "well-endowed club," I'm always interested in seeing how people handle The Girls.

That first bride looked stunning in that dress she chose! And then to have someone try to steal a wedding dress, then trying to claim that she thought it was her coat, is just BS!! They should've thrown her and everyone who came with her out of the store right then and there!! I mean, the dresses are already marked down greatly, but if you still can't afford something, then don't get it!

I wouldn't have let that bride stay in the store, the police would have been called and she would have been taken out in cuffs. I was surprised they let her stay in the store.

I hope she was criminally charged for stealing.

This particular lady and her party that was trying to steal a wedding dress should have immediately been thrown out of the store and banned. Companies are having a hard time already without thieves making it worse for them. I love Randy, he is always so intuitive and understanding to his client and he always wants to do the best for them. i don't think he would be impressed by how i picked my wedding dress9 crikey, i can still see the assistants face and it wasn't a pretty picture). I seen an embroidered gown that i liked(long time stitchery), but my Mum wanted me in a white dress, but as i knew it would, it looked hideous and i looked like death warmed up.I picked the same dress in ivory, which looked so much softer on my skin, should my lower half just to make sure i could dance in it, and that's what i took. The assistant was mortified at how i had picked my dress, but it was wonderful for me.

When I saw the thumbnail the first thing I thought was “Damn! How big is her purse!??” 😳 I was so glad Holly wasn’t the dress thief she’s so sweet and all of her friends and family were so supportive ❤ I wish her a wonderful, happy marriage ❤

Debbie always makes a face when the bride tells her she wants to keep it under $2,000. Audrey is such a good salesperson. Love her.

My goodness! That’s a lot of people she brought with her to shop for a dress.

Why do people think that 3 or more "friends" will be able to agree with each other and help the bride to choose a dress that will be perfect? I can't find 2 people I know who can agree with each other let alone with me?

We have a saying that 'too many cooks spoil the broth' - lol if she's got that many opinions just for the dress, imagine how stressful the rest of the wedding planning must be going!

I agree. I've been married twice and both time went by myself. I'm the one who will be wearing it and I know what feels right. My oldest daughter is getting married now and brought a group of us. One person there is very OVER opinionated and when my daughter came out wearing her dream dress, the first thing this person said was NO. And I immediately put my hand over her mouth (discreetly) and said 'this is the one she wants, just shhh). It was a bigger size and my daughter is a size 4, so they had to do a lot of clamping, plus, they didn't support the girls, so it didn't look as good at first, but it was definitely the right dress for her. The entourage sometimes needs to understand they are only really there to support, not criticize.

It’s lovey to see a family and friends entourage so lovely and in tune with the bride

It drastically marked down alot of people there buying and someone else thinks oh just steal it maybe that person shouldn't be getting married if they can't just put on any dress and go to a justice of the peace and stealing a dress another person would of gladly loved and paid for.

Yes to the second dress! That's amazing! Mine was like the 5th or 6th, when you know you know.
