In case you were actually curious; It’s because Randy is an extremely well trained, disciplined vocalist. ‘Screaming’ like this isn’t what it seems, it’s not just brutalizing your vocal folds to sound scary. Like any instrument, it takes thousands of hours of practice and training to avoid destroying your vocal folds over the course of years. So he’s able to sound like this consistently because he’s a consummate professional who takes great care of his instrument.

Evan Preston truth. There’s an art and a science behind it. At face value it sounds like grinding your vocal cords to a bloody pulp, but it’s really just breath control and acoustics with a tiny bit of tension.

Only ever saw Lamb of God once, with Unearth, ETID and Atreyu in Scottsdale, AZ, waaaaay back in the day. Still one of the best shows I've ever been to.

I hope people who stumble upon this realize how fun this was to see at like 11 AM on a Wednesday during the early stage of the pandemic, when we didn’t know for sure when live touring would return. I’ll appreciate LoG for these live performances, a bright spot during those uncertain times

@@megiddoxygen Well yeah I've listened to a hell of a lot of metal, I used to be massively in to it and I'm not so much anymore. I still listen to prog metal like Animals as leaders, plini etc but don't listen to many bands with vocals these days, just personal preference. So it's not like I've not had enough exposure to metal, I grew up on it.

there is just somthing about lamb of god that i cant put my finger on. maybe its how tight there live performances are, or how unique randys vocals are, or maybe its how unlike quite a few metal bands there albums still stay aggressive and awesome sounding. lamb of god will always be one of the best metal bands ever
