I would think most metal musicians are relatively intelligent, because some of the songs they write are so complex it needs a certain understanding of mathematics. However often the drugs, alcohol and egos distort that

@@somethingsomething9008 Hey brother -- I was more saying that most interviewers ask fairly basic questions. This went to a higher level, and it was fun to watch. No disrespect to either side...this one was just a notch up from the average interview about the basics.

I've loved Lamb of God for years. Randy always surprises me when I watch interviews of him. He seems so soft spoken and articulate. Then when he grabs a mic it's like a 180 degree flip. He is an awesome vocalist and can sing awesome or scream like a banshee. Just love listening to Lamb of God.

Him and Corey Taylor are great figure heads for metal. Very well spoken and make great songs. Also make really good books.

Indeed. Randy is well read & very intelligent. And he does seem so meek and mild mannered in interviews, yet can crank it up for live performances. If you haven't seen them yet, do it !! Sources say they're doing one more album after Omens and then taking their retirement. So get your tickets and go. I promise you won't regret it. We're seeing them in August for the 3rd year in a row, I can't wait !! 🤘

Lamb of God has been my favourite band for years, the fact that the band members are also stand up guys and think having integrity is important makes me just a bigger fan! 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Gotta give it up to Randy. He does some stupid shit when he drinks, but he really is a class act overall. Going back to Czech Republic to face manslaughter charges when every single attorney he consulted with advised against it is an act of personal integrity. He deserves to be commended for that.

He stopped drinking in 2010, so you should phrase it as "he did some stupid shit when he was drinking" instead of "he does some stupid shit when he drinks".

he didnt go back for the trial, it is a missinformation, he went back with the band to perform there, he didnt know he was going to be arrested

I love how this guy handles situations most rock stars would use as an excuse to act stupid and instead uses it as a vehicle to say something genuine, measured, and intelligent. That goes for this interview, and his handling of the misdirected criminal charges against him. Kudos. Also, the host here did well too.

Exactly right. I prefer my music like I prefer life in general. Straight up truth, skip the sugar coating. Love Lamb Of God and mad respect to Randy & the band. ah yes, @ 4:15...one's "Inner Moral Compass." Not that fact that he went back to Prague. He felt he had to. As a heavy metal parent, I am happy to have my kids listen to Lamb of God! Randy Blythe is a good human. I am going to see them in Dallas is a few weeks. Can't wait! \m/

Wow... I expected as im sure others did for this interview to be awkward. But thought it was just the opposite. As the Palaces Burn was an emotional dvd. I also for some reason, pictured the news anchor giving Lamb of God a listen in her car driving home after work.💀🤘

Usually the first one or two albums that a band puts out are crap. Then they have 2 or 3 really great ones and after that they're done and have no ideas left. But man that new record kicked ass so fucking hard. One of the few bands to get better instead of worse
