The true measure of a great song of this length. It never outstays its welcome, never overly repetitive, never pompous or grandiose, it's just beautiful to listen to all the way through. It's kind of like a gorgeous road trip/space tour in song.

Lyrics: I don't want to leave you ever And that's a long long time And if by chance that I do Would you be gone? If you speak to me in Latin As a cloud that appears in spring Undulatus asperatus has such a charming ring And it was raining like a movie And it was hard to look away And as we spoke to one another We held our gaze There's much more calm of nostalgia But it's not just up to me And some strong feats of strength Could be all there was to see And should there ever be a question If we will leave this place or when It just goes without saying We'll never work in this town again And we'll have sunshine Filtered through the faces of the fog And I fell so very hard for you And we'll have sunshine Filtered through the faces of the fog And I could not find that article on you It was raining like a movie And it was hard to look away And we shrugged to one another And we held our gaze It was talk of love in Tennessee Of the beauty of the seventies And I had some people on the graveled road We were out there in the fine place And I turned my head out to the crowd You could almost sense their glory And if you took just a few more steps You could join them in the hustle Do the hustle, do the hustle Do the hustle, do the hustle I can see the future in the air With you sleeping in the morning And if all our efforts lead to this And how it barely slipped away Do the hustle, do the hustle Do the hustle, do the hustle Do the hustle

Lambchop does electronica?Quite unexpected and uncharacteristic really;looking forward to see how it works in the context of the album itself.
@patrickhodgen99338 жыл бұрын
I think Kurt had a side project recently that was electronic. Still to hear this under Lambchop is pretty surprising, but when musicians and songwriters are really that good, they can do anything seamlessly. This is proof.
@ΞενοςΑγγελος8 жыл бұрын
Haven't heard Kurt's side project yet to be honest;and I agree that for talented musicians,versatility isn't an issue.Their immersion in ambient textures in previous albums was after all one of my favorite aspects of their sound.Not sure how I'd feel about a full album's worth of rhythmic driven material like this though;interesting an experiment though it may be,it is hardly the type of thing I'd look to Lambchop for or would ever return to playing too often on my stereo.Wait and see I guess.
@bargainbassist7 жыл бұрын
Ξενος Αγγελος Over 11 years ago, Lambchop and Hands Off Cuba (a Nashville electronic duo) collaborated on an EP entitled "CoLAB." Lambchop's electronic exploration is not exactly new at this point.
@ΞενοςΑγγελος7 жыл бұрын
I actually gave it quite a few listens since my original comment and now consider it a particularly interesting addition to their canon altogether, even if the shorter tracks don't all live up to the epic experimental sweep promised by this track or the album's opening stretch. I'm just curious to see if it'll end up being a momentary anomaly in their discography or the start of a new, less predictable era.
@diegonasdaq8 жыл бұрын
It doesn´t sounds too bad, but I´d rather one studio album with their classical alt-coutry. However Kurt Wagner knows what he does. It reminds me to their 2012 EP Democracy
