I could tell which guitar had the Cremas each time. Those Crema pups are a killer set of pickups. Worth every cent.

They are good. They are also a tool. As such there things they do well, others not so much. Sometimes they are the perfect sound others they are not a good fit at all. It all depends on context, expectations, and needs.

Thanks. I got the first 4 correct, the last 2 I had no clue. So for me at least, the firebird bridge pickup is quite distinctive and the sound I prefer, both pickups or just neck, less so.

I didn’t do well at all. I though A was the FB and B was the LP throughout the whole thing. But on the neck clean and both clean, I’m surprised guitar B was the FB, it sounds so much warmer and “expensive”

I was very surprised how close they are. But you are absolutely right the Firebird pickups are just a bit warmer and more balanced in the mids

Very nice. I’m really wanting one of those firebirds to compliment my jazzmaster, which ironically has the crema pickups. lol

i thought you would keep A & B for the same guitar all through the test on the very first test i was wrong i thought the guitar B had a richer sound, so i believe it was the crema pu - as i dont know them glad the firebird has a better sound, i looove this guitar but they re close

I was surprised how similar they are. Stock Epiphone pickups that can stand up to a$300 boutique set.

The condenser mic is too sensitive and picks up more room noise than needed. I’ve since moved to a different method of capturing the sound
