I enjoyed your video down-under. Beautiful land, beautiful animals. I love seeing the lamb's tails wag when they are bottle fed.

Thinking of you and the lambs all day and the other hurdles the cold and snow bring. Looks like there is some relief towards the weekend after another cold one tonight. 🤞

Great footage and views, during trying times. Lucky folk at the Hill Top. Noisy pet lambs lol. Was talking to some one at choir tonight and she had 10 lambs in the house!

looks like a pretty rough time of year mate, snow plus lambs. It requires you to make some important decisions pretty quickly over when and how to intervene with the stock in regard to their health and their medical situation. Reminds me of Accident and Emergency departments!...Good luck with it!

Have you ever considered using plastic lamb coats We use them here in the uk They help to keep the lambs dry and warm

Do you use them in the paddock. When would you take them off?

As someone new to raising livestock, why is is that we lamb at winter? We are in Tas and everyone here also lambs when there is risk of snow and frost.

Why start lambing so early doesn't make sense to me

It's not early lambing. Anyway you can get snow storms later anyway.

There is quite bit involved in selecting a lambing date. Not just as simple as saying we will lamb in Spring ect. I can explain it in a video if you would like

@@kiwifarmernz that would make for a good video, I always wondered why take the risk and loose lambs in the cold
