@@erikhjortsater5461 F-16, F-18, F-35, MiG-29, Mirage etc. These are in the light fighter class with the Gripen and can pretty much blow it out of the sky. Light fighters are meant to complement/assist heavy fighters, and their advantage is they're cheap, often maneuverable and easy to maintain. Then you have heavy fighters-these are basically the real deal. This is where you find air superiority fighters, with heavy armament, long range, better BVR capabilities, higher top speed. The heavy fighters is where you find the fighters you're allowed to call the best: F-15, F-22, Su-27/30/35, Eurofighter, and J-20 and Su-57 are on their way. Ofc I know I'm mixing 5th Gen and 4th Gen fighters here (So choice is really only F22/Su-57/J-20 (maybe F-35 despite being light)). Point is, jets have different roles, and the Gripen is a 4th Gen light fighter with no distinct advantages over other fighters, though not bad, but far from the best fighter.

What most ppl aren't taking into consideration (which happens even when car vs car) is WEIGHT FACTOR! Although the airframe of the Falcon is considerably light, the engine and all other components will make it a lot heavier which means you have to allow for drag, resistance not to mention gravity trying to push it down on the Tarmac. But still the Aventador smoked it (on the ground) easy! I WANT ONE!

and you forgot one *HUGE* factor: on a *WET* tarmac the car always have the losing side, because car traction comes from the wheels and losing grip means wasted torque; on the F-16 wheels only roll and thrust is provided by turbine, thus they can even benefit from wet tarmac to roll faster

+Dusan Simic Actually it will, the f-16 is capable of reaching speeds pass Mach 1. The Lamborghini wouldn't be able to have enough downforce to keep it on the road at such a high speed. The car will catch lift, not in a way that the f-16 did because it doesn't have flight controls but, it'll definitely fly. It'll Most likely result in death if anyone is in it too.

This video is ten times better than the Top Gear Bugatti/EuroFighter video for this single reason: the car and jet raced the same horizontal distance. Seeing the jet flying alongside the car was surreal - like an old-school CGI movie scene. The race wasn't nearly as close as the Top Gear one because the Typhoon is slower than the F16 while the Bugatti is faster than the Lambo.... Additionally, I find it hard to believe a vertical flight is comparable to a horizontal drive....
