CENTENON couple things to point out. 1. a solid mk2 is an absolute treat to take into turns (seems you've not been in one) I've loved every mk2 I've owned. including a rather gutless jetta, and currently loving the hell out of my ABA rabbit (rolling restoration in progress) 2. if you need an expensive car to get laid you've got some serious issues (if a girls only interested in what you drive that's already a pretty good sign that you need to forget her) 3. while the car you drive says something about you to your employer odds are they could give a rip less if it's a Ferrari, Lamborghini, DeLorean, pinto, or civic. what says most about you to an employer is how well you look after your car. you can drive a $90k car but if you get a flat and keep a donut on it for over a month or have severe curb rash the guy with the $1500 civic or golf that just has faded paint or peeling clear coat starts looking more responsible. just my $.02
