Gained a new appreciation for how advanced the Miura was for its time from your video. You didn't put a big thumbprint of glue on the windshield like I would have.

Stunning. The wheels are possibly slightly too chromy, I might have stripped them and redone them, but that's only a very small point. But apart from that it's beautiful.

Can you tell us what the permanent marker was for on the panel lines? I'm assuming it's like a oil pin wash you do on a tank after the painting, is it so that the lines are more distinct? Also, I'm assuming the sanding is to get rid of the permanent marker outside the etched lines? Thanks, looks great!

Wow really nice! The paint on the body looks like glass. The only 2 details i can see missing from the real car are the magnesium wheels were never that chrome looking (maybe spray them more of a silver?) And the headlight openings around the headlights are painted black on the real car. Thats being really picky though. Superb job!
@weallfollowmanutd5 жыл бұрын
Was thinking the same myself. The detail is amazng, just a shame regards to the wheels. If that plasticity of them was gone, it would be perfect. No doubt that would be easy to change for the modeller.

Does anybody know if there's a US source for the flocking material? Shipping from Germany is like $35. But I haven't been able to find anything else.
@phaqgm5 жыл бұрын
I but several different shades from this place, and have been happy with the results. www.craftflocking.com/ Shipping isn't cheap, but it's cheaper than $30.

Amazing job as always Tom! I love the color, I remember you asking about that same kit but in a different color, Did you consider that old Lambo yellow or Lambo root beer? I only ask because their classic Lamborghini colors and those are the only 2 colors I have ever seen on a Miura............... Mike.

It tickled me to see the permanent markers. The model railroad modelers have been using for awhile. It seemed so wrong at the time, but there is a lot of stuff where it works really well.
