This episode we get all our prototypes out of the way to make room for our real spindle and wishbone suspension. but now we have another problem to solve. The geometry of the track rod and where exactly it needs to be!.
any suspension buildiers out there that know what they are doing unlike myself any tips would be apreciated!. i just wake up and have a go!

keep the welding rod in the gas when you stop, will make it easier to start the next time.

Hi. First video I have watched on the channel. The video roll you are getting is due to the led lights you have. I am no content creator but you may need some dedicated lighting for shooting videos.

Howdy, If I were to do it it, I would make it a double wishbone and not a multi link. The toe adjustment would be on the wishbone its self. Multi links pretty much always mess with the toe. The factory guys do that specifically to introduce "Safe" handeling characteristics over a wide range. Maybe use the current hubs on the front and make some for the rear that have 3 pick up points instead of 2. Guess youmight want to use rose joints on the inner and outer side to make it a bit easier.

Thanks for your reply mate. I did have a look at nearly all suspension types. I was tring to make the design and fabrication process easier but i think i made it harder. Im in the process of making a cheat bracket with muoti holes and will move the track rod to the rear where it is suposed to be and hopfuly i can find the sweet spot. I origionaly wanted to use the heim joints on the spindle side but was afraid of them braking under high cornering loads.

Just a guess, but it seems the toe link is too short and the inner mounting point is too far outward? As it's making its way through the needed amount of travel, it's binding and pulling the upright side to side. The longer the toe link, the less side to side movement I would imagine. I think the toe link needs to be closer to the length of the lower control arm, with the mount further inward, and in the rear like you mentioned.

Thanks for your reply mate. Yes thats what i will do. Im making a multi hole bracket to cheat and find the sweet spot then design a nicer bracket. Fingers crossed i get it sorted soon. Thanks again

If you have a CAD system like Fusion 360, you can simulate the geometry and find the needed location, by moving the assembly. So no need to fabricate and waste time.

Hopefully negative camber gain and not positive as it compresses!?

@@BUZDRIFT yes mate gains negative camber on the compression. Only about 2.5 degrees. Wont be much body roll
