Once again mate a superb detailed vlog,I’m by no means a mechanic only know the basics about lammys, not owned one since 1989,when I rode it to the Yarmouth scooter rally and that event put me off rallies so sold my sx,anyway lammys have always been a tad unreliable so you had no choice to know the basics,so the way you’ve explained things has been ok for me to be honest, look forward to the next episode Once again thanks for sharing

It's a system to obtain more power from your flywheel and stator, you can nearly double the power output for any given rated stator, for a 120watt stator I would expect around 210watts, this gives a lot more scope to power anything you may want to connect such as music systems ,sat nav or just loads of lights, you don't get the power dropping off at tick over so at night your lights stay the same just like a car. I will explain as I fit it to the scooter I'm doing up atm. Cheers and good luck

Hi again looking at the stator in your video it looks like a mb loom but you have added an extra yellow wire then both end up at regulator AC non battery system yes ? Now where you soldered yellow wire on lighting coil you mention and said on earth position i take it there is no earth wire there or you had removed it prior to the conversion or we get bad short. Just checking as got a bit confused. Great videos old school years of experience On that note happy new year and keep up the videos. Terry

@terryfaulkes8339 you cut the earth wire that is the coil wire that is tagged onto the metal part of the stator, add a yellow to this, then the two yellows connect on to the rectifier one on each ac point, you then have two other wires from the rectifier, one is ground and the other feeds through to the battery and make sure there's a fuse in line. I fit one on the rectifier and one on the positive from the battery, this then is connected to what ever switch you choose and links the ac and dc ,this turns your lighting to dc and you will need a dc horn , if 12volt bulbs are fitted these are ok.so if you don't have your engine running the horn and lights will work as you connect them up, on my p2 the ignition switch only does ignition the switches on the handlebars work the lights, horn and indicators with no key, on my series2 the ignition works my ignition and switches on the sip speedo as this needs a switched power on and off to power it on , if left on the battery would drain. You will have enough power when the engine is running to charge the battery and run anything you want
