I currently have a video about chainmail production in the making, and I will be making more video's on armor. Especially the ones I craft myself.

Nice I don’t know why more people didn’t use it it seems more efficient than lacing scales to a organic backing probably would have saved money

I think for most of Europe it's because chainmail reigned supreme. Usually there has to be an incentive for armorsmiths to stray away from what they have experience with, and sometimes the incentive is just not great enough.
