I just wanted to add that on controller, if you push your tactical button to extend a fence and you push L2, she will do a snapping animation and you can pick up nodes much farther and faster than if you just walk up to it and push your interact button. Especially if you spam L2 and multiple nodes are all connected. You can also pick up nodes through closed doors doing this. Ur welcome 😇

2 months late but I call it my personal step stool, there's some buildings on kings canyon where you are too short to be able to reach the higher floors, but your handy dandy personal stepstool can absolutely allow you to climb up on it, and then spam/aggro fence everyone inside. The sound of a pylon going up doesn't make them think "oh they are pushing 2nd floor" instead "oh cool they are defending below the building"
@momojackfred56822 жыл бұрын
I watch wattson guides for fun when I have time, even though i know all the tricks explored in all these guides. But I do think this is the best wattson guide out there and covers everything needed to play wattson effectively. Absolutely goated guided my guy. One thing I was hoping that would be mentioned, but it might be too niches to be in this guide, is how to play against and off enemy Wattsons. This isnt gonna happen too often but knowing how and when to connect your node with hers i.e when she has a door fenced connect your node to hers to, in a way, reverse door trick her. Other than that I loved this guide.

This is an insanely aggressive tool bag. One of the things that you don't really cover(or really don't have to in your case lol) is completely locking down rooms or building. There's certain shapes you can make that make it extremely hard to enter a building because they cover so much area. One of my favorites being an hour glass shape in rooms with doors on either side. It covers both doors and covers the inside of the room. You can also double cover a door with an acute triangle with 2 nodes on one side and 1 on the other. A lot of people make triangles in front of doors but just put the 3rd node in the middle so when someone opens the door it can just be shot. Mind you I play extremely defensive but I've definitely implemented so much of ur guide into my game play now and it's fucking amazing how well a lot of your tips work.

Well thanks KZbin. I had a long thoughtful comment typed out and the damn thing autoplayed the next video and killed it. Bullet points: Good video, learrned stuff. I'd like to see more gameplay analysis in the future. Love that stuff. I don't think i'd be as good as I am at Wattson without your videos and I'm so glad you did a guide and further more i'm a little surprised at how well you did it. Honestly - most people who don't put a ton of editing in their vids don't end up pulling off videos like this very well - they do their audio in one take while they run around and waste our time, but instead you came with chapters, graphics, relevant footage both in firing range and in game and instead of using the visual downtime (when you're talking about things we should be listening to, but not showing examples) you instead show us yourself doing your normal practicing in firing range, which isn't *extremely* interesting, but it certainly gave everyone here some ideas on how to use the firing range to practice with any character, really. If i was pro level i'd want you on my team. Break the meta, friend! Oh and one last thing - something i do when i'm stuck out in the open, behind a rock or something - little to no cover - i put a node directly next to my modicum of cover and swing a fence out wide as it can go to one side, or if i feel i'm about to be pushed, all the way back. At least at my rank it serves as both distraction and deterrent. OH oh there is one thing you didn't really touch on and I don't see if often in your gameplay or others for that matter and that is picking up nodes. I've found placing fences liberally and picking up to refill before moving on to the next POI has really served me well. Opinions on picking up your nodes? #1 Litterbug lol
@lamic9992 жыл бұрын
That’s a really good point, if I don’t have my gen for a while I didn’t even notice I’ve also been littering nodes so you can have as many as possible in a certain area, relate on that. I was thinking most in “perfect” situations ie not having a gen which is often a scuffed fight by yourself 😹 but really thoughtful comment man I enjoyed reading it thoroughly :)

a very interesting and useful video, I didn't spend much time on the strategic placement of fences) BUT there were some pretty cool and important moments missing from the video (I think it might seem obvious, but no) 1) Watson fences are very useful in the vicinity of ziplines, since opponents have only one option how to fly off them, and very often the opponent just flies in a straight line (this was used very often in the video) 2) the fact that caustic and fuse are those legends that you should be careful with, and if it is clear with fuse that everything is not so obvious with caustic, its gas breaks your fences in 3 strokes, so if there is no pylon nearby, then it is worth breaking barrels before they spawn these are two important points that I didn't hear about in the video and they can help Watson miner and make this legend a meta

I wish more legend guides were this detailed, it was informative and fun to watch (kinda like what school is supposed to be), I'm gonna give Wattson a shot next season. I think Lifeline & Wattson mains are the most dangerous because they're not reliant on their kit, so their gun game is incredibly sharp and movement too. But this man right here also dominated the kit and made it his personal toy making him the most dangerous

I wonder since u peeked at Watson, if u have explored some of the other weird strats? Like using the fact that enemies won't shoot fences if there's an opening as to not alert you of their presence to your advantage, by essentially having them be exactly where u want them to for a follow up trip mine fence ( this could prove worth trying in more open areas for creating make shift choke points?). Same can be done with the ultimate, meaning placing a pylon where it can be seen from a specific angle in order to bait an enemy into going exactly where u want them to. Also it's worth mentioning that something standing on two fences can be used for securing two doorways at once, or providing better chance of catching an enemy. In addition here's a good one, if an enemy is hiding behind a box, u can place a node on one side and another one on the other, to safely damage them while not exposing yourself

Very nice tutorial, I've been playing Wattson and watching your channel a lot lately but it still helped seeing some of the stuff explained thoroughly. What I'm really not good with yet is placing nodes quickly. Often when I try to place a far node to cover as much distance as possible with a fence it ends up like 1cm next to the other node xD. When you look up too much trying to place it far it just gets closer again to you. I wish they would've done that differently so that when you look up over a certain angle it will always be at the max distance. But anyway great tutorial. I guess I just have to keep practicing and getting a feel from it. They just never place where I want them to in the middle of a hectic fight xD
