Lamidanda to Salpa Bhanjyang - Off the beaten track in Eastern Nepal 1

Record of a journey from Lamidanda, through Aiselukharka, Sanam, Phedi and Tumlingtar to Hile. This video shows the route from Lamidanda airstrip, into the Rawa Khola valley and up the well built track to Aiselukharka. From there the journey continues along the ridge and onto the south side of the Hongu Valley, weaving a tortuous route from village to village, with the help of local guides. From the Rai village of Namlun (1900m - not 900m), the route heads towards the Salpa Pass, joining the Luckla -- Tumlingtar track below Sanam. A second video, Salpa Banjyang to Tumlingtar, records the last part of the trek • Salpa Bhanjyang to Tum... . The 2010 monsoon was heavy and late, so the ridge top walks were in cloud! The trekkers were shown immense hospitality in the Chetri, Tamang, Rai and Sherpa villages where they stayed overnight.

Wow, looks so green and lush, I love Nepal, I bet it's just like Bhutan!

Nope it's not like Bhutan, but it's more diverse in every accepts. Like Nepal have mountains as well as plains. Nepal has every 123 spoken languages and different feature of people in Nepal. Where as in Bhutan it's only the Dzongkha and almost one race of people live there. Nepal is more then 4 times the size of Bhutan. Hindu, Buddhist, Krati, Sikh, Christian, muslim and other religion live a side by side in harmony, where as in Bhutan Buddhism, is the main religion and small % of Hindus live their in fear. Back in 90s they kicked out our 100000, Nepali out of Bhutan just because they were Nepali. Nepal is a democratic country where as Bhutan is a constitutional Monarchy. Yes northern and central part of Bhutan are quite similar, but Nepal has a lot more then that of Bhutan.
