Alan Melikdjanin was born in Latvia, and emigrated with his family to the US when he was a kid. As a foreign immigrant of this particular origin, he's likely to be above average, if nothing else because he's able to appreciate and understand the world from a wider perspective. He likely knows several languages of the Baltic states: Latvian, Lithuanian, Latgalian, being the similar ones, but also Russian as well, perhaps even Finish.

@DERIVATIVES-mh6ej4 жыл бұрын
That's because anything that is cool has these two characteristics: 1. That it is new to you and you haven't seen it before, and 2. Because it has a perfect or near perfect balance between order and choas. Luminary flow has too much order while turbulent flow is too chaotic. This type of flow is a mix of both. Humans find it amusing and fascinating to see how the shape of the flow stays consistant and unchanging even though it is also a complicated, chaotic shape.

I love the explanation that "laminar flow" is a catch all term for fluid flow in a particular way ("parallel sheets" is also an apt term). Anyone who doesn't have a background with some sort of fluid mechanics will have a hard time understanding the terms and formulas used for determining flow type. Also, in most cases, it's just our best guess as to how a fluid might behave based on observations. Another reason why it's so difficult to explain flow types to people is that fluids have differing viscosities. Add in the difference between Newtonian and non-Newtonian fluids, and now you have several dozen equations rather than a couple for finding out if a fluid flow is laminar, transitional, or turbulent.
