It's a smart idea, but do I have to glue the cardboard on? I'm making stickers and I cant have cardboard underneath them. Will I still be able to laminate my stickers without cardboard on the bottom?

Sorry for the late reply. Sure, you can do it. Keep in mind that you just have to laminate on top of a flat hard surface.

Yes you do it in both side. Although I haven't tried it, but I think you can use bit thicker wrapping flim.
