As good as Lamine Yamal is, I don't think his name should be in the same sentence as Messi. He is one of the best players to come out of La Masia, I mean do you know how good you have to be to get regular minutes at Barcelona and play for the Spain national team at the age of 16. On a club of Barcelona's caliber, one of the most lethal attackers on that team is a teenager and is already good enough for the national team. His aura, swag, confidence and being able to produce magical moments out of nothing on the ball, can you imagine what he would be producing if he's in his peak. He has bailed out Barcelona on a couple of occasions. For club and country he has 8 goals and 7 assists in his first full season as a professional footballer. There's a feeling that he should be starting for Barcelona and it's the same thing for the national team at the EUROs, because he is so important for both his club and national team and if he's that good he has to be on the field, even though there's concerns that he could be burned out before his prime especially since Barcelona and Spain don't learn from their mistakes in how they handle young players. (Pedri Gavi Ansu Fati are examples of this). He's not a guaranteed starter, but for someone who's 16 years old he could end the season with 50+ games and that's so many games for a teenager, assuming Barcelona gets to the champions league final, Spain has a deep run at the EUROs, and he represents his country at the Olympics, and Barcelona need to communicate with the Spanish federation so that history doesn't repeat itself especially with how Pedri has struggled with injuries in recent seasons. He is the next big thing in football and the hype around Yamal is understandable even if he's getting a little overhyped, let's make sure that his development is handled very well.

i can see that Yamal understand how Messi plays and runs with the ball. but his posture and style is more similar to dembele and neymar. yes he is on par with the top dribblers. but he shoots slower than messi. he also lacks accuracy. unlike messi has polished accuracy and speed much earlier. well lets give him time. even messi takes few years to become more consistent. only after ronaldinho left, messi has become more mature in his play. hopefuly Yamal will not give up to reach that stage if not better. i mean its still not impossible to become better than messi. he's only left leg. and he only cuts inside the box. but Yamal is doing both inside and outside. hopefully this boy will be the man to surpass messi
