I think you were looking for "John Player Special" who were a cigarette sponsor that Colin Chapman allowed to re-livery his Lotus sports cars and predominantly his F1 cars driven by the like of Emerson Fittipaldi, Ronnie Peterson and your very own legendary Mario Andretti.... If you hunt around, you'll find Matchbox made a Lotus Europa recently and there was also a Lotus Esprit S1 that was produced in the JPS black with gold. Unfortunately, Porsche never used the livery but it makes a nice fictitious decoration for an awesome looking endurance sportscar

John Player Special is what you were trying to come up with I think....yeah it made black and gold bad ass before the Bandit Trans Am which I think color wise WAS inspired by the John Player cars

Was up near my local city today. Really lucky to find the Nissan Zee (2 in fact), 2 of the Silvia LBWK, 2 of that lovely black F1 plus the blue Chevelle wagon (love that cast) and the wonderful new lilac purple Gasser. Cannot complain about those today. Would love the yellow EK Type R but only ever found one white one *** Have since found the yellow Type R and very pleased with it***

I don't understand the case thing . Do they come out in alphabetical order from the beginning of the year onwards? And do they put the exact same cars in multiple cases ? It seems kind of different by country what selection of castings and colors come with what case

Gotta love the new Z, very accurate to the actual size, just the color should’ve been a bit darker rather than really brighter. The regular TH isn’t that good, don’t know if there is any decals in the side rather than the TH logo. Great unboxing again man, the EK9 looks dam sick

Hey I recently got a hook up on fresh cases at a local Dollar General. I have opened personally 3 cases in the last month and not a single regular TH or STH. Im newer to collecting only a couple years so far and this is the first time ive had access to new cases. Is it normal for there to be no TH at all in the case? Im also extremely paranoid about the fact they are coming in with what looks like multiple pieces of tape sealing them up. Is it possible they are being taken out before they even get to dollar general?

you cant buy cases from a DG they are not a legit wholesaler.. they are selling you 72 individual cars.
