I have many sewing machines. The one with a similar looking foot I found is a 1945 White rotary. The daily garment use one is a domestic one by babylock

Bonjour! Yes, it helps me gather the amount of folds according to additional width that I made for the tier.

Hi there! No I haven’t tried it on bias. I think the fabric will stretch out. My suggestion cut it on the grain. If you want to cut a skirt on bias, a circle skirt is better than this.

Hmmm, it’s tricky to give you an estimate since I don’t know your height or body type. It will depend from waist to floor measurement. But what I always do is the more yards the more I won’t be bothered to going back to the fabric store
