This was helpful because you disassembled and reassembled the lamp. I want to make a found objects light but have no experience with the socket and wiring aspect so your video explained those areas simply enough for a novice.

Thanks for the feedback, Cynthia! I'm glad you found my video useful. You can do it!

At what point would you test the lamp. I know you said to do it before it’s been completely assembled, but I need exacts, lol. This video is so helpful. I just bought a beautiful lamp at a thrift store but I think I’ll be needing to replace the innards. 😊

Isnt there supposed to be another bulb that goes in the glass bulb? So it can act as a nightlight
@AndrewPOlson7 ай бұрын
Great question! There was no light socket in the glass bulb so I'm going to say. no. However, I know there are lamps that are designed to have a nightlight just as you described. The lamp could be re-wired with a light socket in the glass, that's certainly possible.

Good video. Where did you find the package of felt?
@AndrewPOlson10 ай бұрын
I found it on Amazon. I don't see the felt that I bought but I picked the felt randomly from the different options that were present at the time. I recommend searching for "thick" felt, that may yield better quality options but don't quote me on that.
