You know, I really appreciate you giving us a variety of styles in your videos. And, I’m ok with the higher dollar videos too. Because you never know when you might find one of those high dollar items at an estate sale or garage sale, where the person selling doesn’t realize what they have.

So many of these have gone to the trash in the last 50 years. I have a beautiful Georgian candelabra chandelier in my entryway that I probably would have dumped 15 years ago, if I weren’t so afraid to monkey with electricity. And I told the kids I was going to replace it and they all said NO!! It’s their favorite thing in the whole house!

I used to sell vintage table lamps on EBay, all of my VTG lamps sold for over $100, and up to $400, I obtained good profits but the con is that you have to be an expert in shipping and handling these type of lamps because they are extremely fragile. Always shipped them with lots and lots of bubble wrap, foam peanuts, double box and most importantly, Insured. It could take you an hour to package them very well protected but it is necessary because you don’t want to deal with a claim from the buyer if the lamp arrived damaged in transit. Just my two cents. I don’t pick table lamps anymore for reselling for storage space and because it really takes a lot of my time in the packaging and handling. I prefer small items for reselling, like fine and VTG jewelry.

For me if it's. A few hundred profit I'm ok spending a hour or two packaging but I would probably use freight for hand delivery

I've been selling lamps, shades and parts, and try to pick up lamps that will sell for at least $100, because packing takes time and care. I think they get overlooked at sales and can be had for a bargain. I am mesmerized by your underwater footage! Tell us more...about your camera and type of swimming hole that you were in. I lived on the east coast of FL, but never saw anything like it, think I would be afraid of gators. All the best to you!
@TheNurseFlipper8 ай бұрын
We're on the west coast of FL, that is one of many of our natural springs here in FL. This was homosassa springs just off the homosassa river and just outside the state park. I use the same camera I use for my thrifting videos which is my go pro 10 and I use a dome cover for it :-) Gators are definitely everywhere but I've never seen one in this area there's always a lot of people I think is why

It seems that the accounts with higher than normal shipping have it set on expedited shipping and I am pretty damn sure no one needs TWO dead barnacle lamps RIGHT NOW. Last lamp; Please use the keywords Memphis Style, Memphis Milano, Composition II and/or Mondrian should you find yourself listing something with this color scheme and lines. If you have to choose just one go with Memphis Style! I am convinced they missed out on a lot more $$ by not listing it as a Memphis Style lamp.

Hi Kat, love your brilliant and educational videos. I sold on ebay for 13 years and had 4 months off due to cancer but when i felt better and had healed after an operation, i went to relist my items of which i had about 50 but there was only 8 items left as the rest had been deleted by ebay. Then i found out from an agent that my scores etc and payments have gone back to 0 although i still have the feedback from all my sales which were quite a few over 500 i'm being treated as a new seller so i have to wait for up to two weeks to get paid now is there anything i can do about this?

Those lamps are 💯FUGLY but are the Majolica or Majorca? That description is way off if its Italian its not blanc de chine those are Portuguese...at least that is what research leads me to believe...yuck I wouldn't pay that much for those not in this lifetime...they hurt your eyes...
@TheNurseFlipper8 ай бұрын

I really hope people aren't really getting upset over pronunciations. If so the remedy to that is to do your own research. Doing this will 100% ensure that you never encounter a mispronounced word. (You're welcome in advance).😊
@TheNurseFlipper8 ай бұрын
Lol they do and they can be quite mean. I agree 100% with you. I don't intentionally mispronounce but my thinking is you're seeing it on screen you know the name and still learn whether I say it correctly or not!
@brianbaylark38898 ай бұрын
@@TheNurseFlipper It doesn't have anything to do with the pronunciation really it's the "Gotcha" feeling they get in being an a-hole for lack of a better word. I'm sure you'd love a nice pronunciation correction as long as the person's honestly trying to help. You're doing an amazing job and can personally say you've made me money based off you're research that I've in turn used and actually turned a profit. But honestly if I didn't like the way you said words or your content I just wouldn't watch. Because the act of going into a comment section and @'ing someone just to be a negative is way worse than saying a word wrong on mistake...just my opinion.
@TheNurseFlipper8 ай бұрын
@brianbaylark3889 I am glad I've helped and agree with you completely and yes I'm fine with correction depending on delivery. So easy for some to hide behind a keyboard and be mean
