I really like the Lamy Aion. I own this very same silver Aion. It has a very simple, understated style and elegance to its overall design appearance. The Aion and the 2000 are the only Lamy pens I care for most. The size, weight and feel in the hand of the Aion is excellent. I think the complaints about the freely rotating, ‘rattling’ cap are very exaggerated. The cap is not loose, it fits perfectly, doesn’t cause any drying out issues. Anyway, the cap is not an issue for me at all. The only fault is that the converter has caused me ink flow problems. But switching to the cartridge solved the problem. But it’s disappointing and annoying that the converter on my pen is faulty. I also own the beautiful dark green Aion. Same flow issue with the converter with that pen. Although my F nib writes very smoothly with slight feedback, it is drier and finer than I like. The M nib on my green Aion writes more to my liking. For a very similar price, I like the Aion much better than the Lamy Studio. Aren’t Lamy pens priced quite high in India. You definitely got your Aion at a ‘steal’ price. Thanks for this review of a lovely pen.

Actually Lamy has changed their distributor for India and the old distributor has lot of stock which cannot be sold in open Market. So they are just liquidating that stock at Flat 50% - 60% . There is no doubt that this is a wonderful pen and an amazing writer. I faced similar convertor problems with my Lamy Accent gold nib, then I switched to the cartridges and also changed the ink to Sailor Jentle Blue now it writes like a dream 🙂 .
