Wondering how many of you have seen the film "Pillow Talk"? Lana is big time into old movies. So you can bet she has seen it. Personally, I don't care for Doris Day that much and the whole Rock Hudson and Doris Day real life relationship was kind of sad. Ok, "How much is that doggy in the window" was pretty whackafyable, but still, only as a parody of perhaps Doris Day herself! But still, if you're really into Lana you should check out some of the many films and literature, etc. that she mentions in her lyrics or musical styles that she draws heavily from in her compositions. It would be a good intro if one wishes to navigate the iconic sphere that has come to define America's subconscious.
