The transition between the chorus and the verse is the best I've ever heard. It literally makes you high. talented, brilliant, amazing, show stopping, never the same, completely not ever been before I can physically feel my heart rate drop as it transitions into the chorus Didn't really think much of her music, but this is just breathtaking. It's absolutely ethereal.

The instrumentation is the main reason Im so addicted to this song. Something about that opening riff. Then at around 1:14, the instrumentation changes to what I immediately picked up as either a sample or an interpolation of “And I Love Her” by the Beatles. Then goes back to its original instrumentation. I really like that a lot.

It's absolutely criminal how this woman hasn't been awarded a Grammy yet. It really highlights how the recording academy doesn't actually award based on artistic excellence, they only award based on a musician's marketability and popularity that year. You'll only win if you've reached a certain level of radio success and generated a lot of money for the industry. The fact that Cardi B won a Grammy before Lana Del Rey is all the proof you need.

🖤🌊 *lyrics* 🌊🖤 [Verse 1] Down on the West coast, they got a sayin' "If you're not drinkin', then you're not playin'" But you've got the music You've got the music in you, don't you? Down on the West coast, I get this feeling like It all could happen, that's why I'm leaving You for the moment, you for the moment Boy Blue, yeah, you [Pre-Chorus 1] You're falling hard, I push away, I'm feelin' hot to the touch You say you miss me and I wanna say I miss you so much But something keeps me really quiet, I'm alive, I'm a lush Your love, your love, my love [Chorus] I can see my baby swinging His Parliament's on fire and his hands are up On the balcony and I'm singing Ooh baby, ooh baby, I'm in love I can see my sweet boy swaying He's crazy y cubano como yo, la-la On the balcony and I'm saying Move baby, move baby, I'm in love I'm in love (I'm in love) I'm in love (I'm in love) [Interlude] Mic-check One, two Two Two Get it, girl [Verse 2] Down on the West coast, they got their icons Their silver starlets, their Queens of Saigons And you've got the music You've got the music in you, don't you? Down on the West coast, they love their movies Their golden gods and Rock 'n' Roll groupies And you've got the music You've got the music in you, don't you? [Pre-Chorus 2] You push it hard, I pull away, I'm feeling hotter than fire I guess that no one ever really made me feel that much higher Te deseo, cariño, boy, it's you I desire Your love, your love, my love [Chorus] I can see my baby swinging His Parliament's on fire and his hands are up On the balcony and I'm singing Ooh baby, ooh baby, I'm in love I can see my sweet boy swaying He's crazy y cubano como yo, la-la On the balcony and I'm saying Move baby, move baby, I'm in love [Chorus] I can see my baby swinging His Parliament's on fire and his hands are up On the balcony and I'm singing Ooh baby, ooh baby, I'm in love I can see my sweet boy swaying He's crazy y cubano como yo, la-la On the balcony and I'm saying Move baby, move baby, I'm in love [Outro] I'm in love I'm in love

The first time I heard Lana was at 10, someday in 2012 my mother turned on the radio and Blue Jeans was playing, I didn't understand a lot about of music, but I love what I was hearing, so I immediately turn on my computer to search "Lana del Rey" and find Born to Die. I turned 18 this year and she's still my queen too, probably until the day I die, there's no other artist that makes me feel like Lana does.
