Guys this means so much. This is a fucking song she used to sing alone on stage in front of bunch of people who didn't know who she was at all, in random bars in N-Y. She was totally unknown. And now she's playing it again, alone for a few minutes, like she was back then, but in front of thousands of people who adore her, lights in their hands. The contrast is incredible, yet she plays it like if she was that unknown little Lizzy Grant. The fact that she plays the guitare like she was when she was unknown is so touching. My wife

I could not agree more. This performance somehow showcases her (singing, songwriting, performing) talent, as well as her core persona, in its simplicity, vulnerability and authenticity. Funny how her appearance, delivery style and the show might change throughout the years - but her beautiful inside and rich inner world won't be eclipsed by that.

@flowerbed77573 жыл бұрын
@@nadiajoiner6243 yup, her's is limited, but she has mastery over it
@nadiajoiner62433 жыл бұрын
@@flowerbed7757 i dont think it’s fair to call her range limited when she can access contralto notes (f#2 at the lowest, a3 more comfortably) and her falsetto goes all the way to like a c6.. i agree she has mastery over certain parts of her voice and not others. but for her to sing lower than most natural altos and still access soprano notes i wouldn’t say she has a limited range. she could develop her higher stuff into more bright and less breathy if she wanted to with ease being that she can already hit them, but those big bright belty notes don’t typically align with her stylistic choices.
@flowerbed77573 жыл бұрын
@@nadiajoiner6243 so.. Basically, your telling me her vocal limits. Thanks! Didn't even know that!
@FGCJetset Жыл бұрын
@@nadiajoiner6243 when you compare her to a power house vocalist like adele, or mariah carey in her prime for example, what I said makes more sense lol. lana paints you a picture and tells you a story, and she's damn amazing at it with the way she uses her voice. I'm not trying to take away from her at all, I was just pointing out how good of a singer she is. she doesn't need to do larger than life vocals to be a powerful singer, is what i was getting at lol.
