Agreed, even Bobby said that would have made for an interesting familial father-daughter dynamic back when the theory was proposed by the fandom. I think it would have too. It wouldn't have taken anything away from Henry Sr. either, he still would have been the father who raised her and whom she loved. Two fathers? No biggie. C'mon, Henry had two moms. Honestly, I think The Miller's Daughter episode was setting the groundwork for this reveal with the whole "new|changed contract" and Cora promising Rumple his child instead of just her firstborn. She would have just passed Regina off from the royals and Rumple would have found out later. But I remember there was a certain outcry from a section of the rumple|rumbelle fandom who didn't like Regina and didn't want that theory playing out. I got the feeling the writing dropped it and catered to that fan reaction like they catered to other "character|couole" shipping later on. Personally, I feel a wasted opportunity. They practically related every other main character to each other by blood, except Regina.

Rumple being Reginas biological father would have been intresting, but i think it was already denied in "The Millers daughter". Remember ehen Cora showed Rumple her heart and told him she choose power over love, he reminded her of their deal and said he will have her child, but she reminded him that he only gets her first born if it's his child, but now that wouldn't happen. She said it as if she was sure, that this can't be the case, which made me think, that they may have had an romantic affair with a lot of tension, but there was no actual sex involved, so she couldn't have been pregnant by him at the time. Also if he had been her father he would have figured it out and seeing how protective he was over his sons he would have been more on her side and not go against her/hurt her.

Actually, I think the scene in her "dress" was letting us know that Cora & Rumple were together intimately. She was also planning on running off with him until the chat with the King changed her mind. Honestly, I think Cora was so obsessed with obtaining power, she could have just passed Regina off as being from the royals she married into when she figured out she was already pregnant and not even Rumple would have found out until later on. I don't think he necessarily would have known all along. Cora kind of "broke" him & his obsession was more on finding a way to Baelfire. Honestly, it appeared to me the writing was setting the groundwork for this reveal later on but then dropped it due to a certain fan reaction from one part of the fandom. I mean, even the scene in Gold's shop kind of hints at the possibility they were initially going in that direction when Cora confronts him and asks for her daughter back because he doesn't need her anymore. Kind of a weird statement for Cora to make if Regina wasn't Rumple's because he was never entitled to the child anyway if it wasn't his in the first place. But I do think a father-daughter reveal would have been an interesting dynamic. Even Bobby thought so when the theory was proposed.

Does no one get that if you work the age of the actually characters from curse to curse and now to season 7 including how old Emma is Henry is and snow is cuz Regina was like in her 20s when snow was like 13 so the ages are like up in hundreds if you actually figured it out!!! 😂

Maddy Sherar actually Regina was 18 when she married the king. In the book she first met snow when she was 16 and snow was 8. Snow told Regina’s secret when she was 10 making Regina 18.
