Prong ring with mall cabochon - How to make jewelry from copper
With this method, you can use whatever cabochon you like.
You can use rounded stones, square, oval, heart ...
If the stone size is too large you should use a larger diameter wire to hold the stone
Can make fixed or adjustable size ring
With simple steps and simple tools, anyone can make their own accessories
You can change some details to create your own style
wire size to make ring diameter 1.5cm (can + a few centimeters to depreciate)
21 gauge ( wire diameter 0.7mm ) : 30cm( 12 inch)
28 gauge ( wire diameter 0.3mm ) : 100cm( 40 inch)
Stone diameter about 1 cm
TIPS :
Before doing, Always be sure to straighten the wire for a more beautiful product
Can use a towel to straighten the wire.
can use wire 20 gauge ( wire diameter 0.8mm ) or 19 gauge ( wire diameter 0.9mm ) with larger diameter stones
It is difficult to see the wrapping clearly, so wrap as you like
cutting slanted wire and squeezing to avoid scraping the skin
Ring size can be adjusted, more convenient to use
Can be replaced with silver wire or gold wire for jewelry more valuable
Or simply use cheap material like copper wire to make gifts for friends, family or for yourself
I just give way reference, not the best way. Can change size wire to suit your purpose. You can do better than me.

Je ne sais pas exactement de quel type il s'agissait, peut être fil de cuivre mou mort, il a couche de placage, et pas sombre par le temps vous pouvez changer pour convenir au matériel que vous avez

Linda McLawhorn I have bought a hundred+ small cabs in semiprecious gemstones of every shape and size! If you don't have any luck, let me know and I could email you some photos of mine you could choose from .. there's Turquoise, and Amethyst, and Onyx, Tiger-Eye, Opalite, etc etc, all in squares, rectangles, circles, ovals .. they'd look so pretty in these rings!! I bought them for beading bezels around them, but they are too small for that purpose, and I'm not really interested in learning this wire-art form .. but thought it was worth a look.
