@@ABednar I see where you're coming from but Il2 Sturmovik initial release was 2001 and I should know I was driven to a town an hour away to get it new in box from the shop. Still have the box!

This ain't a 20 year old game it's 16 years old but still for 16 years old game is excellent hell I'm a 37 year old man I remember playing the first ever il2 sturmovik in 2001 that game was art of the state and the start of something excellent

​@@SmokingBeagleshell yea the good Ole days I'm 37 years old ws 14 at the time il2 sturmovik came out in 2001 I played it all the time al though I was a major gamer and at the time I had no idea but I would join the volunteer fire service at 16 and at 18 I went to the fire academy in 2004 now look at me 21 years of service and im a lieutenant in the fire service and in usar and im married to the most beautiful woman ever so for awhile I haven't had time to play games my self but my entire spine is ate up with arthritis both my shoulder have arthritis and my left knee has arthritis and my beautiful southern wife and old man is taking me Monday morning to get surgery on my let shoulder because it's totaled eith arthritis a rotator cuff bone spurs and a cyst and this year in 2025 im retiring upon my wife's request so I can relax and enjoy the rest of my life with her and she can take care of me her Ole man we are going to do alot more fishing alot more hunting and we are getting back into games together I can't wait to retire

Trying to get out of one of those things if it was fatally hit must have been very difficult. The darkness, with perhaps only the flames destroying the aircraft as the only light. No wonder the survival rate in shot-down RAF bombers flying at night was only about 15%.
