@@MDFRfiredriver I was in the same situation, I went with the 1985 because of the bathroom ! And I went with the queen size bed 🛏 because that Murphy bed mattress is going to wear out ! And where and how much are you going to find one and pay 💰? Down the road .

Why does Lance not offer a 12 volt refrigerator? They provide more volume and cool more quickly. Many manufacturers seem to be moving in this direction. A 12 volt refrigerator seems to be a winning feature.

Q-How much weight is saved by not getting the murphy bed option? Q Can a window be added to the bathroom rear wall? In 2007 Lance added a Special Order window (now standard) on my Lance at the front above the diamond plate

Bed aside, my Airstream is not 4-season, no marble-look countertops, no standard lithium, no 12DC plug in bedroom, no dual pane acrylic windows, no adjustable screens, no window valences. This trailer is smaller than my 26, yet has more solar power and more tank volume. I'm humbled..

The murphy sofa/bed shown here is an optional selection. Base model has a standard queen size mattress only, no fold-out sofa. I agree the fold-out sofa is not a good design.

why would lance put only a 1500 watt inverter when the standard is pretty much 2000. c'mon lance keep up for 45 grand you can spring for the 2000 watt inverter....

Glad to see Lance has increased the 1985 GVWR over our 2017 by 500 pounds, all of the improvements they have made take more umpth to get it down the road. I like the generator compartment immensely as my tailgate does not open flat when using my E2 Equalizer hitch and lifting my generator up and over the bed of my truck is not as fun as it used to be. We are about to retire next spring and am thinking of upgrading to the 2375 which I have noted that Lance also upgraded the GVWR 400 pounds, still within 80% of our half-ton towing capability. I did not notice the location of the solar controller on your 2021 and did not see any of the two optional solar modules present in relation to where our solar module was factory installed, nor the exact placement of the new inverter. We run an eCommerce business in addition to our full-time property manager responsibilities, but look forward to seeing the 2021 changes of some of the other Lance's including the 2375. Thanks again for reviewing the 1985 updates and changes.

Can you explain the area behind the Murphy Bed when the sofa is out ? It appears that 1/2 the bed is exposed ? or did you just not complete the Murphy Bed fold up ? If not it appears to be a wasted space ? If you could please explain I'd appreciate it. Thank you, Mike

I do like this trailer. Its interior does seem a bit dated and something like the Royal decor would be fresh. Great options tho with lithium batteries and an inverter. Smart. It would be a journey since I’m outside Chicago but I’m pretty sure if I go with a Lance, I’m heading your way.

I agree with the decor comment. Not Princess Crafts issue but they can move recommendations to REV. I’d really like to see a more Euro look in the cabinetry and finishes. The dark wood and colour offerings seem dated. So many other great options and details in Lance

I agree. Lance needs to discontinue that maple interior for all of its models. The driftwood is so much better, and for that price it shouldn’t look so dated. Also, with all of the quality details, what’s up with the plastic drawers?

Not a fan of the Murphy bed because it limits you to one mattress. If you want change the mattress to fit your preference, there are few manufacturers out there that have a mattress that folds in half. Other than that, Lance is a great RV!

It does limit your options a littel. U can get memory foam also. It just doesn't fold down as flat. What I love about this model with this bed is how big it feels inside as an 18' trailer she feels like a 26 with the bed put away. I have entertained 6 people inside without feeling crowded on rainy days while camping. Good luck and have fun!

Q- Where is the inverter located and who is the manufacturer. I agree with another comment below it should be a 2000 watt if your going to use the word 'boondock' . my opinion.

Currently, I have 2016 Chevy Tahoe RWD with 5.3L V8 3.08 axle ratio according to owner's manual curb weight - 5493 GVWR - 7100 GAWR - 3200/4300 GCWR - 12000 Payload - 1607 towing capacity - owner's manual 6600 (from GCWR - curb weight was 6507) On their Lance website, Lance 1985 gross dry weight - 4245 hitch dry weight - 550 axle weight - 3695 cargo carrying capacity - 1955 GVWR - 6200 is it safe to pull?

I still have not been able to look at a Lance living out here in Richmond, VA since many have been sold out or back ordered until Feb 2021 and I'm actually looking for a 2075 model. Are the optional 190W panels still offered on these or have they gone to something different for 2021? Also, how big are those battery trays on each side? Asking because i would want to put a 200AH lithium on each side but they are around 21" long. Thanks!

The 1995 has a similar interior to the 1985, only difference is that door entrance is in the back, not in the middle. The hitch weight for the 1995 is 390 but for the 1985 it’s around 550.
