So glad I had the pleasure to witness his shows multiple times as I grew up 🥰

You don't like Lance? Why is that? Genuinely curious. I'm only familiar with his magic and performances, I don't know him very well as a person / don't know much about him as a person.

Even when the video is slowed down, I still can't see how he's doing his tricks. The guy is a grandmaster when it comes to magic

It doesn't help us (as if it's supposed to!) 😝 that the camera doesn't show or stay on the whole stage area he's working with the whole time, including the whole lamp and lamp post. Somehow the birds are returning to him during the act - I THINK. OR different birds are also being used. The birds might be moving to a platform on the top of the lamp post inside the lamp and being covered into a small compartment that is lowered down the tube that is the lamp post and up into another similar tube behind him. Bird seed might be being used to lure and direct the birds to certain precise positional places. There might be a hole or holes in the stage floor behind him where a similar hollow black tube with a bird compartment inside is being raised and lowered behind him at various points of the act in order to deliver and retrieve the birds. At one point a fake bird appears on the lamp and stays there to make us assume they're still there / there the whole time. I was able to slow the video down and catch what he did for the last trick - he gets our eyes used to our eyes being unquestioningly down toward his lower right side for a little while with a few flourishes he makes but also maybe to also do a setting by his back that he needs for his bird or to check that the compartment and tube is there for his bird, and then he palms the bird with his right hand and puts it behind his back (into the tube compartment?) by the lower right focal spot he created, as he moves our focus away and up and where, with his left hand he has a white scarf in his palm that is designed to be thrown up as a small compressed white object (that helps create the illusion he's releasing the white dove upward) and then after it's released and thrown upwards it descends as a loose white scarf. But to be honest even though it were possible tounderstand the whole thing, his execution is so skillful and idea so visually delightful and elegant, and showmanship so charming, suave, and fun, that it's a thrill to watch over and over and EVERY TIME!!! It's a wonderful, incentive, skillful act that never gets old. 👏👍🔥💯❤

nah, those are retractable candles, a very common magic item, it's all in the performance, how he produces and vanish them is what makes it work
@mopbrothers6 жыл бұрын
I never really thought about that until now. Makes sense, though they look like they could be hard wax, but they're probably just made of cheaper plastic that are easily retractable and ignitable.

It was said ' tongue in cheek' . I can't love Lance Burton because I don't know him to love him, but I know his magic and as I said before it is awesome! The comment was made with no malice meant.
