The Kit Kat part is so good for magicians because they see the indent in his pocket and assume it's another deck he will swap at some point. He's performing in front of a group of magicians so imagine their surprise when they pegged another deck in his pocket and he pulls out a candy bar.

What I love about this, as a non-magician, nor magic appreciative, is the absolute positivy of the comments section. I enjoyed watching it, but this is one of those situations where not having knowledge of the thing you are watching reduces your a appreciation of how difficult it is. Reading your comments about how fantastic and difficult this is made me enjoy it more. So even though this was Markobi's masterclass, you should all take a bow for how brilliantly supportive and positive you are as a community.

Tbh, I didn't enjoy the performance, although I can appreciate the difficulty... I just think it lacks class. I think the acting was a bit redundant, too. It's funny to open your show by acting like a newbie with no control over what's happening, but after the first reveal it quickly becomes tiring. I find that the whole "I'm too bored to care, and I don't have time for this" attitude is exhausting too. I think he could have balanced his clumsy act by sprinkling in a few flashy moves, that would have made an eye-catching contrast.

I'm not a magician, but a big fan of card tricks & sleight of hand. Watching a few seasons of Penn & Tellar, I have picked up a very small amount of cues and what to focus on when tricks are being performed. I would again like to reiterate that I am in no way a showman, magician or have any skills in sleight of hand... but even after 10 times of watching the final affect, I have zero idea how this was done... and I love that! I appreciate there will be a lot of people who watch this and can figure moves, manipulation and probably some kind of suggestion, but everything here was amazing!

the fake palm is insane, and the acting is so well done, the way he looks at the person sitting on his right, it's like "I know you saw it, but what did you really see" right? @icestem Exactly, I was surprised no one point it out. It is clear that this man has deeply studied Lennart Green and Dani Daortiz, and technically he has solved all the problems in the routine, but what gives you this performance? Honestly, it seems like an attempt to be as funny and messy as Dani Daortiz or Lennart Green and failing in both, mainly lacking originality and stage presence.

@@jorgedavid2568 Sometimes it is a joy when someone with such a take is clearly in the minority. And since performance art is mainly subjective, the fact that most (yes most) people disagree with you means that by applying your own metric you are wrong. Jesus Christ died for our sins, rose from the dead, and gives salvation to everyone who has faith in him. True faith in Jesus will have you bear good fruit and *drastically* change for the better! Those led by the Holy Spirit do not abide in wickedness. God is three in one; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit! Bless him! As I am led by the Holy Spirit, nothing I state is a lie, but the truth of God. Anyone who tells you differently is misinformed or a liar. They do not know God, nor led by him. Anyone who *claims* to be a Christian and is against what I am doing, and where I am doing it; the Holy Spirit does not dwell within them, they lack understanding. They know not God, read his word, and their religion is in vain. Do not hear them, they will mislead you, the lost cannot guide the lost.

When you trust in God and cast your cares (worries, anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts) upon him, they will be NO MORE! Know that there is power in the name Jesus Christ! His name casts out demons and heals! The world is wicked, evil, and of the devil. I too, was a wicked sinner of the world before I opened my heart to God. I am living proof of God's work and fruitfulness! He is an active God who hears the prayers of his! God's children are set apart (holy) and righteous. The devil is a liar that comes to steal, to kill, and to destroy; that includes your relationship with God.

Whats a fake palm?
@christopherpenny6216
@christopherpenny6216 2 жыл бұрын
@@stefanosantini196 at the very end of the routine, he's cupping his hand near his face after doing something sort of fishy with the cards. This was intentional, and leads anybody expecting such things to believe that he's hiding a card in that hand. Then he waits a minute and points with his hand open essentially telling anybody who thought he was palming a card that they are wrong. That was a gift for The magicians in the audience which for that performance was everyone.

So hilariously entertaining. I'm not a magician but was thinking that after he put the deck behind him on his left side at 5:41 and then brought it back, he just needed to control the first three queens as every other card not turned over was a queen of clubs with an indistinguishable scribble on it. Note, in the first desk you saw the faces. In the second deck, only a few random spilled cards had their faces shown before the three queens and the final reveal. I could be wrong but either way, takes nothing away from such an incredible performance to make it look like a total mess when all along it was clearly controlled.

There's more than one "signed" queen. But to be able to keep track of them and manipulate the deck like that is absolutely incredible. Understanding a tiny bit more about how the trick is done doesn't spoil it at all. If anything, I find that the more I learn about how the tricks are done, the more that I am impressed by how skilled the best magicians in the world are. And to be able to do all this with the word play and stage persona to top it off is incredible. They can't just be quiet and focus on the trick. They have to talk to the audience the whole time.

@@floyo Yes there are multiple queens of clubs with his marks that's for sure. That's why he forces the queens of clubs (that's quite visible) and he "signed" the card himself at the beginning. I suspect all the cards in the right pile he makes after the false palming are all queens of clubs and that he leaves a few cards face up are for misdirection. He probably knew the lady will pick a card from this pile as the other pile is quite away from her. Nevertheless I find his ability to control the cards really incredible (I'm not a magician so probably I'm easily fooled). His chaos and humour style quite reminds of Lennart Green.
