it's the same thing as he did with the Hunter Tylo levitation bit, with the top hat, at the end he comes through the door and hands her flowers (when up to that point the audience things the "guy" in the hat was still Lance)

I think lance performs this ilussion very good .He prepares it great with the indian theme. The Fercoas Brothers performs it also, but very different

Loved this when I was a kid I think Mark Wilson came up with the "Things TGHat Go Bump" premise. Doug Henning made it famous again in the late '70's. Lance does this stuff very well.

to some extent it is, especially the end "switch", it is not a direct redoing of it, but I am pretty sure the inspiration for that illusion was metamorphosis.

He's in front of hundreds of people and has to do the entire act flawlessly.

I have just worked out how its done, the girls come through his legs from the tepee and move under the blanket. Then at 1:55 Lance goes into the blanket and someone who looks similar and is dressed like him comes out the tepee and pretends to be lance all behind the blanket. That is why he keeps his head down at 2:08 when he does than chant. You can see a girl come through under his legs at 1:37, notice some small movement. Like all tricks so simple but really awesome! :)

as a magician myself i have to aggree with you on your comment. it's one thing to learn how to do a trick but thats only half of it! you then have to learn how to perform it which can be even more tricky! anyone can do something with the instructions in front of them but try doing it again in front of an audience of about 150+ and it's a differant matter.

@JANNOSPR You are right, but that bit is trivial, how do the other people get into the teepee? I don't actually want you to tell me, but if you don't know then you don't know how it is done.

If you want to learn about Native American magic one good place is in a chapter of Houdini's book (Miracle Mongers and their Methods) about the Navajo Fire walkers.

first of all, no one cares if you know the secret. you did not impress or entertain the people, Lance did. and secondly: it is not a double, the method is common in lots of magic acts, how it is done, i will not say because i'm a magician as well.
