We need a driver relegation system that works out how shit a driver is in relation to their team mate and automatically drops the bottom few of that list every season, replacing them with the top of the F2 championship. Would it be kooky as fuck? Yeah probably, but at least then we could say they're actually the best (formula) drivers in the world and the deserving drivers from F2 would always at least get a shot in F1. As far as who goes to which teams, figure out a pool of drivers after the relegation/promotion takes place, and let the teams pick from within that as usual.

Running the risk of being devil's advocate here: His spin in the formation lap can be explained by the battery recovery system. If not calibrated correctly, or defective, it can override brake bias and brake the rear wheels harder, causing a lockup. Everything after that, however, is just peak Stroll performance: Insane and sustained incompetence
@officialECS6 сағат бұрын

The only argument I can think of that supports him is that he believed the sand was wet enough to surf through like Lewis did in Imola 2021 when he reversed out of the sandtrap The issue is the depth of the gravel and you're not supposed to drive at a decent pace or the tyres dig into the sand. Yes it's possible to go through it in the wet but there are precautions you need to take before doing so and unfortunately Stroll didn't take him Edit: I should also say he should drive through the gravel if it was a last resort. I cannot defend him when there's so much tarmac around him

I think Lance Stroll gets more hate than he deserves, mainly because he's a rich guy's son and slightly stuck-up because of it. He's a pretty good driver, and absolutely deserved his chance in F1. He won F4 in his first season, and was fairly mediocre in his first F3 season but absolutely dominated the second. Money alone can't do that, he has some talent. But just because some of the criticism is exaggerated doesn't mean it isn't valid. Being "a pretty good driver" and having "some talent" isn't enough for F1. To be successful in F1 you need to be exceptional, and Lance Stroll has shown that he just... isn't. He makes too many stupid mistakes, this latest example is just the tip of the iceberg of dumb Lance Stroll decisions that even an F1 rookie should have known better than to make.

Before he came into F1 his Billionaire Dady already invested 100 million dollars in hiring a complete pitcrew and a track and an F1 car to make as much meters as he could. He didn't came hot from any F3 or F2. His dad bought him a seat so he could rid off car after car where his dad was the whole sponsor. So his time at Williams was sh¡t and now his dad bought the whole team and bought out the best team member from several teams like you buy the new FIFA game and spend thousands to get Messi, Ronaldo and you name it. With that you could win even if you have the slightest bit of talent. But Lance Stroll has no talent and in media meeting he doesn't give a fuck like he doesn't even like racing. He doesn't like it where there are only 20 seats and 100.000's would do better in his seat than he. I have to wonder if he wanted to race at all. Maybe he would be relieved somehow if his daddy kicked him of the team? What you say about the sponsors can be extended to Honda, that will provide his engines to the team from 2026 onwards. You do realize the brakes on the car actually broke, one side locked onto the disk, and sent the car into a spin on the formation lap, but you paid attention to reports and know that right? ... I mean, Im not a fan of Stroll either, but at the very least, lets get the facts correct. He didnt lose it, it broke.

I can't see his face, it is unbearable to watch this guy wasting a seat! And the fact that he will work with Adrian Newey, the greatest designer of all time, makes me sick. I also feel bad for Adrian, he will have to listen Lance "feedback"... "cAr iS sLoW MaN! PlS mAKe cAr fAsT!!" At the moment, Adrian is saying nothing to daddy Stroll, but once he will have to actually work with this idiot, I bet he will say something. At least i hope. Imagine if daddy stroll stay in the sport forever, that means we will have to endure this joke of a driver until he can't get inside the car physically. Imagine 10 more years with this on the grid... Even worse, imagine daddy Stroll gives the team lead after his "career"! I can't.

I’ve been thinking about how bad this one was, and I even told my wife and a couple friends who don’t really follow F1 how stupid this incident was and what it says about Stroll. There really is no excuse and he absolutely does not deserve that seat. He has not earned it and he never will. He just doesn’t have the talent, he’s a window-licker.

No apologies needed for your rant, i have been saying exactly what you are saying since just after Lance S started in F1. It is no place for a driver to get by just because his dad owns the team. I would not invest in anything the Stroll family does after witnessing this shit show in F1. Aston Martin as a brand should be ashamed of themselves, all the sponsors should be ashamed of themselves, Lance should be ashamed of himself and quit, but it won't happen.

The issue is...: His eye brows are dragging too much over the tarmac, blocking his view as well btw

Stroll daddy paid money for sons two championship titles and then paid more money for son to race in F1 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

That’s just it. Everyone is jealous of Stroll. So to you I say get used to it. Nepotism is everywhere. If your mom or dad is a doctor you’re almost guaranteed to get into medical school. If they’re a manager you’re definitely getting a job in the company. It’s just the way things work. You see it everywhere including F1. Just look at the last names of drivers. And I cannot fail to mention a certain basketball player recently drafted with the last name of James. lol

But realistically there is many drivers better than stroll who don’t have the seat

For those saying F3 wOrLd ChAmPhIoN the tldr is that his dad bought the best team and then illegally payed Williams to do stuff for them. If it was a fair fight he would have lost to Maximilian Günther, George Russel or Antoine Hubert (RIP) and maybe he would have been better friends with Zhou Guanyu and Nikita Mazepin who were at the same time in f3
