In the game he figured out that she is Galahad before the fight. Also I didn't use Mash to beat him but I'm pretty sure she is immune to his "gift". So you are probably right.

@@needledealer9971 That's because Lancelot with his gift works like he has the defenses of a ruler, and shielder is a 100% neutral class... but honestly the idea of him not defending himself from her because he senses galahad sounds like a small gameplay thing that happen from time to time

Yeah he is obviously pulling his punch, is almost only fighting defensively, only targeting the shield,... If he was serious it probably wouldn't even be a fight, Davinci considers that her and Mash have almost no chance against a Sphinx and just before that we see Lancelot casually kill one without even looking at it.
