I own a Mitsubishi Lancer GTS 2017 manual fwd it’s 2.0L inline or straight mivec 4 cylinder engine. It pushes 210hp after a obd2 chip I added and it’s insane after you reach over 4000rpm it feels like the car wants to go go go I’ve smoked a mustang gt, Cadillac v8, couple Hondas, my brothers dodge v6, and nearly beaten a Subaru wrx sti. I love Mitsubishis but sadly my lancer isn’t the real evo… it don’t have the turbo and awd. One day though I’m gonna get the evo any model from 1-9 and a 1998 Subaru wrx sti both in manual and both in awd… man I love Subarus and Mitsubishis.

I love em all 1 thru X, give me all wheel drive and a boosted 4 banger and I'm gonna respect and love whatever generation came my way. I just love Evos, the history of rally, to grand turismo to fast n furious to Paul Walkers passing and then to the ultimate demise of the Evoin 2015. The legacy left behind by these cars, I mean what an iconic automobile and will go down in history as one of the best jdm cars of all time.

Most of you evoists hate the evo x. What if the Evo line up did not end with the Evo X? and the XI or even XII are alike the X (aesthetically if not performance). Maybe you could have loved the evo x too. Well yeah. the Evo X is still an Evo despite having an dissimilar look to it's predecessors. It is also a way to make an end unique. (p.s. I like the Evo 7-9 aesthetically and most of you do).

all i know for sure that except the "standard" tuning of the original engine (turbo, ecu, intake, exhaust system, and stuff like these), the engine is destroked...also to reach that 14k rpm it needs more than that destroking the engine...probably the engine have very lightweight internal moving parts + at least hardened valve springs, but for 14k rpm dualled vale springs are more plausible...so...

Evo 5, 9, 10 are my favorite. 5 has great drifting capabilities. 9 for it magnificent speed and 10 for almost about everything what i've mentioned about the previous evo but less speed and with a great 4 wheel take out something similar to some hyper car, but not as fast , made for circuit racing, very competitive to Subaru's and curtin ford modals and Volkswagen. my number one pick is evo 10.

very late for me to comment but too bad i guess i may seem like a triggered evo x owner (well, i was) but idc deal with it i used to have the evo x and be all over the 4g63 until i owned an evo x and boy it changed my perception of the x it is in fact and evo and is a very well built car very stiff and bulky, though it is heavier (don't act like the evo 9 isn't 3200 lbs), it's amazing around corners too bad i got in a wreck and it got totaled, but it saved my life, again, very well built cars
